Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

They were pretty sick at Psycho this year. It's a shame that his other project VHOL was playing at the same time as Sleep though, I would have liked to see both.
Got tickets to see ZZ Top this Sunday. Not doom, but you cant argue with their rock tone.
Subrosa was pretty good too. Although the guitarist broke a string mid set and didn't seem to really know how to restring it quickly so she had to have the bassist do it.
Never thought I would own an EB3, never wanted one and for most of my life I just didnt even care for the style. Now I have one and it sounds fn' amazing and I dont think I will even need to mod it. Why?, and why now?. Windhand made me do it. Ive seen so much Windhand video and heard so much Windhand audio that I became convinced that I needed this. Ironically the bass player has moved on to a Rickenbacker as of recently but without Windhand I probably still wouldnt look at an EB3 twice. Any doomers here using this mean machine?, any mods?.
Looks great, not sure if I've ever seen an all black one. I love the look of the satin cherry ones. I've fiddled around on one and it sounded great.
Initially I was craving the cherry finish right up until I found this one, as bad as I wanted it I ended up getting this one for much less $$. Still wouldnt mind getting the cherry one eventually.
I had an EB0 for awhile, and I kinda loved it. I order to buy my Blacktop Jazz, I hadto sell it and a bunch of other things...regretted it ever since.

I used to rock a 67 eb0 modded with a dimarzio model one pup. Prolly the best crafted bass ive ever owned in terms of fit/finish. My guild js2 is no slouch but something about the eb0 just felt like a work of art.
I think she gets flustered/panicked easily when things go wrong. She also has pretty bad stage fright.
Hi duders! Long time, no post, hope all's well! I'm logging back in to creep about the classifieds. Since my last post, I've relocated from E. Iowa to Chicago and all of my big gear was sold off or put into storage. As for my old bands, Heavycraft is on indefinite hiatus and Milk Duct Tape will do our "very last" show in a couple weeks.
I'm working on a couple of new music opportunities now and will likely need a smaller, portable rig.

Head-wise, I'm researching one of those mini Aguilar Tone Hammers. A Terror Bass is another I'm interested in. Cab wise, I'm not sure yet.
