I feel like in a proper functioning band its the entire bands job to make adjustments. Since i moved to guitar from bass ive definately had to reduce the amount of bass i have in my eq with the band versus playing guitar alone. Otherwise it just turns into a honking wash of bass. And weve had to adjust bass to to get the band working together as a whole. Its definately not just the bassists job to make his tone fit around the guitars. Just most guitarists are all about their tone rather than the tone of the band

Hey guys, I was just curious if anybody could recommend me any solid graphic artists to do up a band logo, maybe some T-shirt designs and possibly album art down the road. Honestly have no idea where to look for stuff like that so if anybody has any leads, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Edit: Stylistically we're looking for something psychedelic, similar to Wo Fat and Dead Meadow. The band name is Drown the Mountain so we'd love to incorporate water/earth elements in the designs.

A friend of mine does graphic design, but I don't know if he does any band work. I'll ask him. He did all the artwork for our team, granted I'm sure that's a different style that what you're looking for. Detroit Hooligans
So true, I remember those days fondly. Especially when I got an amp that was loud enough. Gotta love high school punk bands.
For the record, here's what I could see in Al's rig:
Four Ampeg 8x10 cabs
Three of those had what looked like the same Ampeg heads
The fourth had something different, though it also looked like an Ampeg (different model from the other three at least)
One Orange 4x12 (pretty sure of this) with an Orange head
All cabs were mic'ed (!!!)
I wish I could provide more specific information but I don't know gear well enough.
Hey man, appreciate you looking into it! Would love to see any other work he's done if not just for curiosity's sake. We're definitely looking for a style that gives a psychedelic vibe which I know is hard to come by.
Thoughts on tiny (1590a size) octavers? Looking for a cheap, small, octave down to put on a smaller second board. I like my DOD Octoplus and MXR BOD, but am not necessarily looking for anything specific. Just simple, cheap, and small.

That doesn’t seem to be cheap, judging by to “boutique” nature. I was hoping someone would tell me one of the Mooers or something are great.
I kind of wish there was youtoob channel or something of just cheap af pedal reviews. I'm pretty down with dropping some major coin on boutique distortion stuff, especially if a pedal can make my fretless sound like it belongs a death metal band... but sometimes having something cheap to mess with while figuring out signal path and things can be super helpful before grabbing higher end pedal.
That said, from what I've heard of the hulk, I kind of want one even tho I don't have a good use for one.
C standard, rotosound swing 66s [5 string set, chuck the high string], .130 low C string.
I am also wondering how many of us don't use fuzz. I've been tinkering with my new to me 70s peavey head, and I'm digging the channels bridged with just the pork loin, no fuzz. (Low end going thru my GK rig. Its punchy and nasty, but not a fuzz sound. The superfuzz does sound huge thru the new setup, the muff sound pretty poopy tbh.
Ditto on boutique dirt. Pretty much all of my dirt is boutique, with the exception of my Pork Loin (which is modded...). Seeing as dirt is the most necessary part of my board, I can justify it. But the other stuff is just for fun, so I try not to spend much on it unless there’s a huge difference or I really like the effect (like envelope filters). I really don’t NEED any octave effects, so they should be cheap.
And I love cheap stuff! I have two entire identical guitar boards of old school DOD stuff, as well as DOD stuff on all my other boards. Cheap is awesome.
I have a fuzz that I love (Pharaoh Supreme), but agree that it’s not 100% necessary. My Pork Loin would work well in all situations I use my fuzz for, and even then my fuzz is set as more fuzztortion than true fuzz. I have never been a fan of the wild, crazy, glitchy, with tons of high end treble fuzz stuff, though.
My Spector pretty much stays in C standard but I occasionally Tune to D standard too. I use D'Addario EXL160BT's on it. (.120 .90 .67 .50)
I recently put some thicker gauge strings on my Dean, GHS Bass Boomers 140-70 for use in BEAD and A standard. It sounded great but I noticed the neck was starting to crack, it has a pretty slim neck and it may have already been cracked a little when I bought it. It was a "for parts or not working" bass and it had a big chunk broken off of the body. I originally bought it for parts anyway so I'm not too concerned, just a little bummed out.
I've never played C standard, just drop C. My preferred C is a .120. If I was doing C standard, I'd probably get a 120_40 light 5 string set and ditch the G.
When I was doing stoner\doom I tried using fuzz pedals so many times, but just never found one that worked. I don't play P basses and didnt use a pick, which is sort of the way to go.
In stead I used drives. Mostly TS or OCD clones. I like articulation.
