Just sayin OD into Muff. The DOD 250 into a Big Muff sounds killer, are both commercially available as kits, and it works really well with th theme.

So much so I literally want to do this now even though i’ve Never made a pedal.

Well, you can always plug one pedal into another. It just takes a cable. Running two in parallel takes a bit more equipment. So, I'd prefer them to be parallel.

This pedal needs to be adorned with some stolen Jack Chick tract.

I like the idea of a superfuzz, what about doing a superfuzz in parralel with like an octave up reverb pedal similar to the eterna pedal from mister black. With a blend between the two. You got your praise and your riff worship all in one pedal. Maybe have a hpf on the octave up reverb side to keep it from getting weird glitchy octaves.

Hmmm, I've had no use for reverb on bass. But then again, that's not saying I wouldn't have a use for it in the future. If we went that way, I'd say we should put a switch on the HPF. If you're going to go silly, go silly and let people make potentially bad decisions.

Oh yeah, that's what I was thinking of when I came up with the idea. I tried to get one of the 4, but no dice.

If we actually tried to get a pro to make them for us, that's who I would ask first.

Edited to add: Wow, that page originally said he was only making 4, and they'd only be available on May 4th. I refreshed on it all day, and missed it. There's hope I may get one yet!

I’m down for a pedal as well. I like the fuzz/OD with independent volumes and blend idea. There’s a guy here in town that might do them, Volition Amps. I can text him tomorrow with ideas if y’all would like.

A pro? poopie, I was gonna throw money at Rutrho and her partner to do it.

(OK, so I said that to be smarmy, but, honestly, i'd actually do that for a 250->GGG Muff in series pedal)

Well... Seeing as I have a ton of parts for both of those...

I ordered some boards, so I'll see what I can cook up. 3 DOD boards and 2 GGG muff boards so I figure I'll be able to sell two of em when I'm done... I've never played with a DOD250 so I'll keep one of those. They're not going to be small, LOL.

I guess I'll throw something up when I get one of em done...

I missed out on a bunch of good stuff. If you guys wanted to get crazy you could always have a single knob of vol for the OD, trim pot for gain if desired and a switch for par/series and then the fuzz controls. That could be one side and then something else on the other.

Then again I'm all for dual dirt pedals. Love the idea.

Recommend me the punchiest, clearest 1*15 cabs I can get in Europe. I need 2, 8 ohms each, my amp is 300 watts @4ohms. My budget is around 7-800$ (used). Widely available so I can get them both used. No lightweight stuff

Orange OBC115? Not sure how common those are in your area, but it's a killer cab for my stoner-metal band.

Thanks I'll take a look! I don't play stoner anyways, I'm looking for something really clear and focused, although FULL and with a HUGE low end! Do you tjink they are ok for me?

I don't think you can go wrong with the 1x15. I think I've read plenty of posts on TB praising the cab as one of the best 15s on the market, regardless of genre. The only catch is there's only the one speaker (no horn), so some complain of a lack of high end, but personally I've never felt like I needed it with this cab.

This can be an issue for me because I rely a lot on high end... I have a fairly "guitar-like" style in my songs, a lot of stuff I play is not bassy at all. Other suggestions? Maybe with a horn?

My other stack is GK. I have two CX115s that I really like, they have a horn, and sound nice and grindy with my Fusion MB800. 15s in general will probably have less high end than, say, a 2x10, but I prefer low end to high end. If that's a concern, I imagine one of GKs 2x10s could work well in your situation.

I currently play with a 2*10 with a horn and a 1*15, I should stick with this kind of configuration maybe? I feel like the 2*10 is too thin and feeble, but maybe it's just this one (Ampeg portaflex)

I don't know if it's universally accepted or not, but I've always heard that folks should tend to steer towards having two identical speaker configurations when dealing with two cabs. I've had some odd pairings at times (like your portaflex example) and I never found it to be a problem, so YMMV.

For me, I think the two best common cab makers are Mesa and Orange. That goes for both guitar and bass in my experience, and should hopefully be common enough to find in your area. The upside of Mesa is that if you can find some of the Subway series, they are stupid light but still sound great.

Mesa and Orange are both quite easy to find used. Aaand... any good Ampeg cab in the higher price range?
Weight is not a big deal, if I buy two single separate cabs they can't weigh too much in any case, and I don't plan to move them too often (it's unlikely that I will go on tours or stuff like that ).
