All labeled "pedals" and "amps" right? Gotta fill em hahaha.
Well, almost, actually. The old plastic shelves that were in there are going into my music room for storage uses... which will include tons of pedals!
The other one is boring and will end up being a pantry in my basement.
Still though, I now have 3 12-foot shelves in my garage, so I will be continuing my seemingly manic cleaning and organizing of the house the last few weeks.

i should like these guys, but similar to Earthless, they bore me to death.
Followers of this thread are known to be the most knowledgeable of dirt pedals in the forums. Wonder if I could ask you fellas instead creating once again a “recommend a dirt” thread?
I’ve been playing for a while in downtuned progressive stoner bands. In the beginning my tone was all about Darkglass and a Jazz bass. Nowadays I’ve left clank and treble behind me and I switched to a Precision and using Tonehammer as my preamp. I sit in the mix much better. My only problem is that the Tonehammers drive is not for me and I would like to leave it pretty clean since it’s the last pedal in my chain. What I’m after is an always on dirt that would compliment my setup. I already have a HM2 and Muff clones on my board, but they are for passages, intros and whatnot. I still have the VMTD, but I dislike it’s boxiness in the low mids.
I guess I’m looking to add some character, round up my sound, add a bit more growl to the p bass tone (low mids 100-400 hz) but also maintaining enough clarity. Any recommendations? I’ve been eyeballing the MBD-2, but it’s a pain to get here in Europe. Blower Box was also on my list, but I’ve heard it’s scooped. SFT and Blueberry variants sound a bit too mushy for me.

Either of the pedals you have include a clean blend? I use a p bass with a superfuzz clone. The superfuzz is too gnarly to stick out in a mix without using a boss line selector to add in clean signal [though my "clean" signal is a somewhat angry Way Huge Pork Loin (mostly clean, like a slight tubey overdrive tone) into an angry GK 800rb]
I get the meat of the lows/mids from the Pork Loin/800rb and the fullness and bite of the superfuzz. And it sits predictably in the mix as a p bass does. Though I do play in a 'power trio' format so I do have more sonic space to occupy than some.
OCD based pedals like the Demon are a good match for a P bass and the exact opposite of the darkglass sound. also a bluebeard with the fuzz and tone all the way down can be glorious.
Hey dude! Just listened to some Solar Monolith. That was some way impressive bass playing and singing.
I'm playing with 2 downtuned guitarists so I don't really have to worry that much about filling space. My Muff does have a blend but I don't think it's that good for the fast riffs in our songs. I will check out that Pork Loin though!
I would love to get my hands on a Bluebeard but like MDBs, they are really hard to come by in Europe.
OCD's are way cool. I used to have the Joyo UD, but it sucked out some low end and I didn't really like it at low gain settings. Maybe I could give it another go. Although the thing about OCDs though is that I feel they alter the characteristics of the bass sound a bit too much. Or maybe I haven't heard proper low gain samples or I'm after something a bit more transparent as an always on dirt?
if it's always on then use your EQ to gain back some of the lows. bluebeards are back in production.

Some others to consider, depending on whether you can get them easily or snag them on reverb for a decent price.
The Pike Vulcan OD (or Vulcan XL) is great for what you're describing. They look like Darkglass with red face-plates, but they are not the DG sound. Clean blends, very natural sounding drive circuits, and enough EQ to give them character in certain frequency ranges. One has a color knob (the other a color switch), and one end of the spectrum on each is a more mid/low-mid focused drive.
Southampton Pedals Fifth Gear Overdrive - Again, emphasis in the mids/low mids. There a 1-knob mini version that rarely pops up. Also a 125B size with more control for gain/sag. Stacks well and can make other pedals (mod/filter/etc.) after it come to life.
Wren & Cuff have a few pedals worth checking. The Phat Phuk B is killer, and the Super Phat Phuk is an expanded version of that, although not identical. If you want more gain on tap, try the Pickle Pie Hella Fuzz. The clean blend on it is great, and you can run it mostly clean with lower gain for a very nice dirty-not-distorted sound.
Oh yeah - TC Electronic Spark Booster! The full sized 4-knob version is great. Should be easily available for pretty cheap. It has fat, clean, and mid modes, which all work well on bass. The gain is natural sounding and will just give you some bite.

I’m currently using a Fairfield Accountant as my base tone-embiggener. It’s a dirty compressor, kind of the opposite of a transparent OD, but in my case serves a similar purpose.

EQD Plumes is fantastic, and crazy cheap. I'm also still really digging the OCD-GE germanium; since you're looking for great low mids that might suit you better, but the Plumes is a lot cheaper and I'm honestly still agonizing over which one I think sounds better. I'm kinda leaning toward the Plumes atm, believe it or not.
I’ll second the Pork Loin suggestion. Modded, if possible. Simply the best OD I have found that just plain works in pretty much any context. I’m terrible at describing tones, so I won’t try, but if I could have a single drive pedal, that would be it. Thankfully, I can have as many as I want!
