Morning Gents! Picked up on of those Bryce Special lol Danelector Daddy O, tye old metal case one for $20 bucks at Guitar Center on Saturday, really dig it, much nicer than the Marshall Guv'nor clone I had before. The ol lady bought a cool guitar theory dvd was burning though thay yesterday. I has a cool ear training section on it.
On the Pork Loin I had one before and I shouldn't of sold it, I think it had the best sounding pushed tube overdrive sound on bass of all the pedals I tried since. I didn't care for it on guitar though so off it went.

Anyone have any experience with the Darkglass pedals? There is a dealer local to me, so I need to see if I can go try them, but I am wondering if the DI pedals (B7K or deluxe vintage) have enough output to drive a power amp. If not, I am not sure it makes sense to go with one of those over the B3K, Vintage micro tubes, or a Duality.

I had the basic model not the preamp model but it was the most I ever paid for a pedal and probably the most I ever hated the sound of a pedal. Horrible treble hell might be good for a Korn cover band.

More research needed.

Hence why I need to try them. The vintage microtubes sounds good via you tube, but not sure it will be my cup of tea through a fEARful cab.

I hated the B3K, the Vintage is not too bad. I have found some use for it when I want to get a more pick-like attack. Not worth the price in my opinion but I'm holding on to it for now until I find/want something else.

Wasn't a fan of the B3K or the B7K pedals when I tried them. The B3K's distortion sounded way too plastic and the B7K's preamp was a scooped mess no matter what I set it to. Personally I wouldn't spend anywhere near the asking price for either box but a whole lotta people swear by them so I'm sure they have some uses...guess it just depends on context.

TBH, the B3K and B7K boxes soured the Darkglass brand for me a little so I haven't been remotely interested in trying out the Vintage Microtubes boxes. One of my mates uses one for guitar and he says its the most natural sounding tube overdrive stompbox he's played through. Worth a gander at the very least I think.

Goood morning! So.. I am back in the working world behind a desk, 3 desks away from where I was previously 2 months ago. But the good news is... Toastfuzz is back behind a computer monitor for 9 hours a day, so I'll probably be more active here again.

Question for yinz all... is there a way to switch the TB color setups? I thought you could do a "negative" color scheme (so white on black vs. black on white)... anybody know? I cant find it through a simple dig.

And I gotta see if Laz posted any pics from our first gig a couple weeks ago, we were invited outside Wheeling WV by some amazing guys Brimstone Coven to open their local show. Long story short... it kicked ass!

Well, I spent some time doing taste-tests of the Mastodon catalog, and for ME, Crack the Skye is the clear winner. (So far, lol.) I like the vocals on this disc much more than the others.

Huh, listening to Witchcraft's Legend album for the first time. It's not as bad as people made it out to be - in fact I think it's a logical progression from The Alchemist. I think it might actually be better than the Alchemist. I like the production/mix a lot better than the Alchemist anyway.

I need to stop listening to backlash and judge these albums for myself.

He is going to cover shipping, and import cost. So it wont matter to me if his duties are large.

I shipped an Iron Ether Oxide fuzz to a guy on TB from Singapore... the Post Office gave me alot of guff because I didnt have the buyer's phone number, just his Paypal name and address... when I said I didnt actually know the guy, just selling something online, they got surprisingly suspicious and difficult, and I ended up going to a post office across town and trying again without the hassle. I was really worried they were going to flag me or the package or something, and those Oxides arent cheap... all ended up shipping successfully (and quicker than I'd expected)

I recently sent some peds to Australia and Italy and didn't have a problem with either. Both made it to the purchasers in < 10 days. I think the key is to get as much info from the recipient as possible and get the customs form filled out as completely as possible.
