Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Morning fellas - went a little overboard yesterday and I'm feeling today. Not confuse anyone - I'm not talking about drinking.

I found a mountain bike at Pawn America for $20 yesterday. Needs a little adjusting here and there but it's in good shape otherwise. Took that out for a long ride yesterday, which was my first ride of the season. Last year after my bike was stolen I used my wife's mountain bike which is a little too small for me, this year I've been lazy/looking for something my size. So I did my normal "short" route and just about killed me. Then I decided to go do some gardening work in the sun and heat for a few more hours. Top it off with a bout of insomnia and I'm not in top form today.

Oh well, sometimes it's nice to be sitting down in an air-conditioned office.

back from the tech, it needed $500 worth of work, luckily i got a break and only paid $125. Plays great now and it sounds much better with the stock pickup. thanks again @Lazarus.Bird for the find.
'oly cah, what was wrong with it that it needed $500 worth of work? Glad I didn't buy it, cause I wouldn't have been able to get the nice repair discount.

that's why I avoid exercise, that s**t will kill you.

Saw Pallbearer last night. Heavy as f*ck. New songs were killer!

Bassist was rocking a Acoustic head (270 I think) and SVT 8x10. Basses were a Gibby RD Artist (I think), and Memphis P of some sort. Guitar rigs were an SG into an older Ampeg (V4?) and 2x15 peavey cab, other guitar rig was Les Paul, Orange Rockerverb 100 with matching cab.

Good morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend.

The drummer I was supposed to jam with on Saturday emailed me at 10:50pm Friday night to cancel (and inform me he really doesn't even want to play drums anymore). Oh well, SOP at this point. I have a couple other guys and a couple guitarists who have emailed me since, so the search goes on.
