Good morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend.
The drummer I was supposed to jam with on Saturday emailed me at 10:50pm Friday night to cancel (and inform me he really doesn't even want to play drums anymore). Oh well, SOP at this point. I have a couple other guys and a couple guitarists who have emailed me since, so the search goes on.
This would be pretty good for a practice PA system yeah?

Then why did he even respond? I play drums too, but I'd rather not drum in a band right now - so I DON'T go around responding to drummer wanted ads. It's not that difficult to figure out.
Probably put it together after the insurance company told the sales VP to release their liability by offering this "direction". Or someone sued them for injuries lifting one. Either way most people in this country seem ok being led like sheep.thats hilarious that ampeg offers a video on how to put a cab into a car. its not rocket science lol.
Hell, I don't get THIS. Please explain how it would be better to do ANYTHING not doped up to the gills on painkillers. You'd be shocked by how many people have zero clue how to move heavy things without injuring themselves. I routinely deliver large doors off the back of a flatbed truck with an A-frame type rack and I pretty much never lift anything. I just balance and pivot, construction guys routinely ignore my advice and get 4+ guys to move huge doors flat, struggling and hurting themselves. Every once in a while we get people who are willing to listen and are surprised by how easy it is to move things when you use your brain, instead of your back. I've got the same thing about cabs forever too. People running up to me asking if I need help moving an 810 or something. Nope, don't need help, because I'm not going kill myself trying to lift it. I just lean it onto the tailgate of my truck and tip it up.
It's not specialize knowledge, most people just don't stop and think before they do things. I've had people yell at me for standing around wasting time, while looking at something big that needed to be moved and thinking about easiest way to do it. Some people just think getting hurt is a sign of hard work, I guess. I want to be able to go into work the next day without being doped to the gills on pain killers, so I don't get it.
'oly cah, what was wrong with it that it needed $500 worth of work? Glad I didn't buy it, cause I wouldn't have been able to get the nice repair discount.

Untermench reporting for duty, sir.lol, what you don't have ubermench style self discipline and the ability to consciously turn off your pain receptors?
Only one kind of play better than good wordplay.
Nice word play on the orignal quote by Marx (I believe) who said "Religion is the opiate of the masses."A bit non sequitur, but that reminds me of a line from the chapter I was reading last night out of American Gods. Something like "in this world, where opiates have become the religion of the masses".
No moral to the story, I just liked the word play.
I was referring to the kind that comes before. But if she's willing I'm always ready...Butt stuff?
