Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Some of you may like. While out driving in my van, I saw another van with this.
Saw one of those who knows how long ago on my commute. Loved it.
Regarding the movie quote - never seen that one! Familiar with some of the other quotes from that film, but not that one.
And in regards to guaranteed-alcohol-poisoning-drinking-games, I once convinced my friends (who had never seen the movie) to drink along to Gran Torino. The rules were simple - every time he said a racial slur or grunted, you drank. They clearly had no idea what they had signed up for, and gave up the game before completing it. (As should be done, lest death will occur.) I got to enjoy educating some of my friends as to what some of the slurs were, as well as their provenance. A memorable night for many reasons!
Also got a new smaller, sturdier pedalboard.
If I recall right I think it's a DIY superfuzz and the mini expression might be a wah or volume.
Thanks for all the laughs the last few pages, and dazed and confused really reflected HS life for me right at the start of the millennium. Love that film!
How's moving that GK? It's a 4x12 right? Been on the fence over a 2x12 or going bigger...2 seem to get the job done with room on the dials. But at the bulk and weight, I'm debating just going to a 4x12. Kinda wanna make one myself, or attempt to.

The GK is not too bad for its size. It's way lighter than a 810 fridge. It has wheels and the 'towel bar' like a 810 fridge.
I got my Bass Clone a few days ago. I bought it NEW because the only used one I found was already gone...
I'm experiencing a few problems with this pedal tho
- If I put it IN FRONT of the Pitchfork, as was my intention, no sound is coming out. It only works the other way around, which makes the crossover kind of useless, since the pedal will also affect the octave up on the lower notes...
- Super noisy
- A couple of times yesterday the sound went away while I was reharsing, which is the most worrying one. I tried if the jack was not correctly inserted or was defective but that was not the issue...
I don't know, on some sections it really helps and I wanted to keep it, but what if the pedal suddenly stops working for example while playing live?

Well, one would thing that if it's a splittable output, you'd be able to put it anywhere in the chain and get the same function.
Had a basement jam with some friends Friday night, the usual suspects. 2 guitars using 40 & 50 watt Marshall combos, me on bass using an ancient (and ungodly heavy) Peavey Combo 300, a 5 piece drum kit (all a good drummer really needs, fight me), and a small PA for the 3 guys that sing. Butchering the usual songs, as is our style.
So, since I have tinnitus (my own damn fault) I use plugs all the time. Mostly the foam Hearos type. This is a good and bad thing. It save my ears, but makes it hard for me to hear myself except as kind of a mushy low tone. I can hear the guitar amps just fine. Well, Friday, I decided to experiment a bit. I have my amp tilted back about 30 degrees and leaning against the wall, so it put the toes of my foot against the front edge of the cab (for no apparent reason), and could feel the vibrations of the amp. And it made me hear myself better. "Hmm, that's interesting." I thought. So, I dragged a small unused combo amp to the front right corner of my amp, plopped myself down on it, and Shazam, I could hear myself perfectly in the mix. I felt like I played so much better that night, simply because I could hear myself. (Good notes and clams!)
So, now I'm looking at some seating options for myself, to park in front of my amp.
