Where should one go to start learning stoner/doom on bass?

Any beginner tips would be appreciated

Well, you definitely want to watch "Such Hawks, Such Hounds" to get a good idea for what the whole scene is and what the genesis of it was. And spend most of your TB time in this thread. We don't get into heated debates about gear, or music, or, well, anything. This goes along with the whole stoner/doom ethos of, "Whatever you like is fine with me."

Now, get pictures of your gear up so we can ogle it.

To deflect from any type of praise (be it sardonic or sincere), my hardcore band has been getting it! We played a rad Ukraine refugee show this past weekend (Moon Room). We played second to a half-full room and there were over 300 in the door by the end of the night. We are playing the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins, CO on Thur and Chain Reaction Records in Denver for Record Store Day on Sat. After all of the struggles of booking my last band with COVID, it's great to be out and playing again.

This one went way over my head as well. I thought it was because the date 420 is stupid and it should be 204, because IMHO it's day-month-year

The first 4 Sabbath albums are a good starting place. You don’t need to tune down to R-flat, a giant tube rig or a pedal board full of vintage and boutique fuzzes to get started, either.

Well, I upgraded the dirt/"guitar" dide of the biamp rig. Quilter Overdrive 200 into a Marshall jcm900 1960a 4x12. SUCH AN upgrade over the Peavey Standard/Marshall Mosfet into the ancient Peavey 412F.

With the Overdrive pumping out up to 200w and the Marshall cab handling up to 300w, the low end and all around note definition even with my wild fuzz is pretty awesome. Plus 2 little Quilter heads and a much more compact 412 make it so much easier to jam all of my rig into my Hyundai Sonata. Lol.

But can I buy a full board of boutique fuzzes if I want to and buy a vintage tube amp? I have some credit cards that look bored and i haven't pissed my wife off for too long.
