Yeah and thats the thing. VT is a rat clone and so is the blower box. I'm digging the metallic sizzle of the BB. Using the W&C TFR for warmer muff based fuzz. Was pretty bummed the presale on your last run filled up quick on the Wizard. Not to worry these will get their use either by me or our guitar player. I'm waiting for his Korg AX1 to finally take a dump on him, it's only a matter of time, that thing has been in service for friggen years. Then some of these guitar oriented pedals will get some love. Once I pull the trigger on a PT JR for my main board all of these will populate the home fun board.
My main guitar setup for recording demos for a while has been Wizard Fuzz one on channel and Cthulhu Fuzz with my bridge pickup coil tapped on the other. The Cthulhu sounds really thick and dark, with the coil tap giving it some clarity and I make the Wizard a bit more high passed and tight/distortion sounding with the full humbucker. It's a great tone combo.
yea WF is still a noisy pedal I will say. Not in the same way that the CF is but it has a lot of gain on tap. May be nice to get a gate for the future so it will help with any pedal
I've been looking at the ISP Decimator for a while, to keep a noise gate on the board. They make a few different models, all of which seem to get pretty good reviews, and they're not hard to find used.

I heard about those earlier this year - interesting that there's no gut shots. If I'm paying extra for a "Hard Wired" amp, I'd like to see the inside vs the normal one. Are there still PCBs? Turret Boards? True Old-School point-to-point rat's nest?

I've had an influx of emails from drummers today. About 5 so far, hopefully I can get at least one of them to schedule a jam. One was all the way in Oakland, which is too far, though she said she might be willing to meet in between at an hourly place in San Jose, which is about at the limit of where I'd drive for practice. My wife works in San Jose now and her commute can get up to 1.5 hours each way, depending on the time of day. I'm still hearing from people in Santa Cruz though, which is reasonably close and has a good, affordable hourly rehearsal studio.

Huh, neat. That's pretty cool actually. Major LOL at Orange making a "bold decision" and taking a "brave step" to have amps manufactured cheaply in China. Yeah, sounds like a huge risk. No one else does that.
