GAS’ing for a few basses… Dunable R2de, a T-40 to do an aluminum neck swap on, or a full EGC build. Problem is, i’m so connected to my Rick I wonder if I’d ever really use another bass enough to justify it. Between that and being happy with my rig, my bank account is pretty safe… for now.

well, EQD just released the Blumes. I might want to try that one.
but my double bass bow also needs to be re-haired. That's almost the price of a new pedal, so I might do that first.

my main is a t40 and i just snagged another body a month ago. i'm gonna put some stonewall mudbuckers in and hopefully throw an aluminum neck on at some point.

I love it, aside from the weight. That's a rotary pup selector, btw (it's actually a Ripper clone). It's supposed to have a chicken head knob but I wanted it to be more 70s than the 70s so I got that monstrous thing.
Heh, the Classic Creep may get me into round wounds again. It came strung with them, and it's so fun to play and aggressive sounding both unplugged and with the T-bird pickups plugged in that I haven't had the heart to re-string it. I still have the flats that I bought to re-string the Epi T-bird I bought a few years ago. I didn't re-string that bass for the same sonic reason, but it's just too ungainly and huge of a bastard to yank out of its case and carry around the house and screw around with casually. You probably want to have a purpose when you pull it out.

The Classic Creep has a weird body, but it's not that level of hugeness. Plus, it doesn't have a case yet. It lives in my chair when I'm not in it, and in my arms or my bed when I'm not in it (I'm currently scoping cases out). Plus, I'm starting to think I like its neck more than any of my other basses. It just seems to be the right width at all points to be comfortable and easy to my particular set of sausage fingers. I even find myself not looking for a pick and playing with muh fingers, just because it feels good. Getting adjusted to 24 frets is weird, though. Anything above the 8th fret, and I'm having to start to pay attention to the dots again. It's like my Danelecro longhorn bass, but 34" scale. Sort of like getting a new pair of glasses (heh, I gotta do that soon too, these are held together with a tasteful tape patch).
Though, I still don't know if I'd use rounds for quicker riffs through a fuzz. There's just too much high end frequencies from the attack to compete with the nice high end a good fuzz generates when you're playing faster stuff on rounds. But who knows, I would have said I was a "rounds all the way, except on this one bass" guy a couple of weeks ago.

Was having GAS for an Ampeg SVT-II for a while… and I got one!

Don't actually know. I know it's something I want to start tinkering with but don't know what's out there right now.
I'm a fan of Muffs, but there are TONS of options with fuzz in general. For whatever reason, the other fuzzes just don't stick with me long, but I LOVE various flavors of Muff tone. Good luck finding "your" fuzz!

I've had at least two. It's my runner-up fuzz for sure, but just doesn't do it for me like a Muff. I'm interested in the Demhe pedal, which is a further refinement of the circuit. Even then, I find that when I'm adjusting this pedal, I'm trying to make it "Muffy", so I might as well just use a Muff.
