If you only could keep one fuzz, which one?
My blue and red Super-Fuzz. It was my first fuzz, and I'll keep it to the end.
Heheh, maybe I should get a tattoo of the Univox logo, or just the "FUZZZ." from the box.
It’s been the SUF Civil Unrest for me. It just works and if I need a fuzz on my board, it’s always first call…
Could also make do with the Doom 2 since it does synth and heavy…
Right now? Swollen Pickle. It gets 90% (or more) of every Muff tone I've ever wanted, including some well-known boutique builds. But my current favorite Muff tone is from the CMC Civil War.
One fuzz? Man, idk. Is it bad I'd probably cop out and go with something like Jackson Audio modular fuzz?
For real though, right now, hands down the heavy weapon. Just so much in there and i really love the muff sound, but that octave and tone stack is so good. I love my Spires, Russian style muffs, TB's, and SF's but that goofy mix of fuzzes kicks some serious ass.

If I only had basses, cmc effects bubble font clone. All the green rusky goodness plus some midrange control and LED/GE (GE sucks, imho) on top of Si.
If I only had guitar, Swollen Pickle. Yes, it can do a decent approximation of just about every bm ever, but I've found it's a lot less fiddly on guitar than bass. I don't know why but that's just how it's played out for me.

Good one, Wren and cuff makes some killer stuff too. I've been meaning to try their "good one" and the IC one they make.
I'm absolutely stoked to try the CMC Bubble Font on my bass. It seems like it will gain-wise hit the mid-way point of the Russian and Civil War Muffs that I've been digging lately. I feel like the Civil War could maybe be slightly less gainy (though I'm obviously loving it) and the Russians could be ever so slightly more gainy and less bass oriented. We'll see soon!
And you nearly exactly nailed my thoughts on Swollen Pickle on guitar too. But I feel it's almost more versatile on guitar - I got it to do all sorts of tones a few weeks ago when I was messing with it. Those internal controls (well, "Clip", I never touch "Voice") seem to have a more pronounced effect on guitar. I rarely mess with them on bass, as I find that I like what I like with a few small exceptions, but on guitar I used them to get all sorts of BM tones as well as HM-2, FatMetal, and even relatively low gain stuff. I was shocked. The only thing that it may lack slightly is clarity in the lows in some of those settings, but I feel I could also probably figure that out with enough tweaking. I'm hoping to get my guitar rigs back soon (it's been a month!) and get to tweaking on them again.

But, to give you an actual useful answer, if I could only have one, it would definitely be the Source Audio Aftershock.
