Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Even if the band didn't rule (and they kinda do), the shirt does. I'll post a pic when I find it again.
Hehe, here's a pic of the glow in the dark shirt.

The 4003 came today. I like it as much as my friend's, I do believe. The replacement low output pickups have a little less bite than the stock ones, but if that ends up bothering me the stock ones are in the case.

Members of both of my bands have had medical issues or conflicts for time with their other bands over the last month, so not much has been going on. I've spent the time woodsheding. It varies from trying to write something, sometimes jamming along with a drum machine, other times figuring out someone else's bass lines, even other times it's just playing for the love of playing and enjoying the places I can get lost in.

Oh, and playing more video games than I have in years and fixing guitars.

Dang, now I feel guilty. I should have probably done more necessary chores over the last month. Oh well, the holidays are coming and I'm sure stuff will get cancelled due to that (grumble, grumble, bunch of old men and their families and jobs and life). I'll do that stuff then.

My band is picking up steam and I'm in another buying cycle, since I just can't seem to wait for my custom Thunderclapper to ship. I've picked up a baritone guitar, a bass vi and an MTD zx5, but that was abruptly returned to the guitar center from which it came and my desire for import MTDs has evaporated. I've got a stack of pedals I still haven't plugged in and I'm still planning on trying for the Broughton drop tomorrow.

And we're trying (and failing, due to the drummer never being happy) to track some songs before our show next Saturday but it's not looking promising.

But yeah... busy.
