ive been thinking about it, if i do youll be the first in line. its an awesome muff, just thought about trying something else.
my guitarists board is such a nightmare, especially with everything running in stereo and with a MIDI controller. i have no idea how the hell he keeps it all straight, and when theres an issue it takes like an hour to solve lol.
and hes got the strymon timeline and the big sky, both have like 500 knobs and presets lol.
Unless you have to troubleshoot a simple person's computer over the phone lol

I'm so far removed from this thread but but I see we're talking about knobs. As someone who day dreams about pedals all the time I have concluded that many knobs is a way to be everything to every one. Less knobs is more about fitting a specific niche. A pedal for me...1-3 knobs. A pedal for other people...1000 knobs.
Basses are so dynamic and different that you can't build one pedal for every kind of bass unless you include a knob for every parameter!!!!
The other issue that I see with stuff like Way Huge is that sooooooo many things in a circuit are adjustable. If you can make something variable then you can add functionality and broaden your user base but then you have to add an extra knob to your pedal. If you have the option for an adjustable parameter but don't include a knob then you're deciding what your customer will like and then you limit your user base.
This is why I usually hate most pedals because they were designed by a guitar player who has a cheap poopy beater bass in his closet.
So few designers understand bass frequencies and bass guitars well enough to cover all all the aspects of amplifying and distortion the signal. That's why you get 100 knobs when you might only need 2. Some other guy might need all 100 knobs to get the same sound.

My main amp has 4 knobs (vol, bass, treble, presence)

Kidding. I'd ask for a raise, my professor urges us to if we get the inkling (just and fair inkling). Maybe they avoid them to keep costs down and expect you to say something.
Man, that's what I do 8 hours a day. (actually it's more like 4 of that and 4 TB).
Anyway, 100 knobs itself is not a bad thing. The problem is when 45 of those do the same thing, just look at some alembics... A tone for each pickup, then a master tone, plus separate volumes, a master volume and a pup switch???
I like the way you can use the Way Huge Pork Loin and Swollen Pickle on bass by tweaking the trim pots since I play both but wish they would just make that a flip switch for guitar/bass to go back in forth quick and easy.
A perk of house living I'd forgotten. I can go outside in just my boxers to check the mail and no ones there to judge.
At least Matt has been in the same room as a fEARful.
