Is there a suggestion box we can put names in? If so, totally contact Graham Connors, he's Mr. Delangus from Infernal Rock Radio, cool dude, don't know if he sings, but dudes a character and would be a great front man.
All of mine are still broke because I'm to lazy to get them fixed.
I like fuzz pedals.
Why he not want to sing? And are you a fan of his unique this or is this an opportunity for positive change if you can swing it.
Yeah, I know Graham, he's a great guy - not sure if he can sing or would fit the narrowly defined parameters. I'll bring it up next time I see him out and about.
I know how hard it is to leave a band once it's mostly functional but damn janitor. Some people have a "vision" in mind for a project the rest have a delusion. I'm hearing the fun leave eveytime you talk about a certain band mate.
He says he gets too nervous before shows when he has to sing and play. He's more than pulling it off and improving all the time but he's just being his own worst critic and enemy. No amount of positive reassurance from myself, our drummer, friends, fans or MIKE SCHEIDT FROM YOB will get him to chill out and realize that he's already doing it, and doing it well.
The vocal style is not what I would have chosen, but I've grown to appreciate it. It sets us apart from all of scream-y sludge bands and people really seem to dig it.
I have a hard time imagining someone else pulling it off - maybe a weirdo from Europe like Lord Vicar or Lee Dorrian, but I doubt that there's anyone in Madison that would be able to step in and do something that's as similar to what we've already got going on.
It seems odd to me to want to search for a lead singer, but pretty much disqualify anyone that doesn't sound like the person that's already singing - especially when it's as unique as what he's been doing. If he really wants someone that sounds like him - then he should just do it himself. Otherwise, be open to different singing styles.
i only use fuzz pedals if child porn is etched on the box.
If he can sing, its gonna be awesome in a way he can only do. I talk with him pretty frequently, you want me to throw him a bone? I'd pay money to see him sing with some great riffage behind him.
Gotta run over to the post office. Someone in Arkansas bought 3 digipaks and I gotta send one to Germany, so that's fun!
Yeah, I know. I probably shouldn't air as much dirty laundry on here as I do, but it helps to get you guys' perspective on this kind of thing. My wife (bless her, she's a saint) will listen and offer good advice, but there's only so much I want to subject her to.
...and yeah, the fun has been gone for a while - that's why I'm trying to put something new together. If I can put together a solid group and have fun playing then all of the BS with the doom band seem a lot less important.
I'll hit him up on facebook and point him toward the CL ad. We'll see if he can make the cut. I imagine it's going to be like American Idol...
Lunch then hiking in the woods, see you guys later... Ears peaked for banjos
You must record it, and let me watch it.
I'm working on my list of British-style insults.
