No problem man, I want another one of those amps. The timing never works out between availability and funds for me over the past few years though. Going fair rate for one is generally around $350-550. Mostly depending on the condition, era and whether or not they've been recapped. If you get one for around $300, you'll probably have to pay for a (necessary) cap job. A lot of people have modded them to be more like a Marshall for guitar, with circuit changes and master volumes, you'll want to avoid those.

Oh, I realized I didn't address the low end question. They've got tons of low end, no issue there. It's a bass amp, but it's popular for guitar. I've used mine for guitar as well. Our guitarist used mine for one of two guitar tracks for the Warp Rig demo.

There's a YBA-1 on my local Craigslist right now. There is a 72 Fender Bassman giving me terrible gas too especially since it's the year I was born.

Man the electricians came to install my new outlets soon as I start cooking. And every time they need to move stuff I ask if I should move it and they say no then toss it aside rudely. Then they turned on every AC unit and max cold with the doors open.. I'm paying for it that's why it's off!

It does have that allure.

My dad works for company X and car companies in Detroit use the technology his group in the company created to help them. It involves lots of trips to the Detroit ghetto (Detroit) and visiting unionized warehouses. The union workers favorite pastime is crating themselves up in car parts boxes for full time naps lol.

At least I have chicken fried steak with Mexican seasonings on sourdough bread smeared with guacamole, and a side of curried okra. Why settle for one region/country/continent?

Any of you guys ever given the new Fender Rumble 500 watt a serious look. I just found out about these today and I'm intrigued. I don't really have a wall of sound anymore so 500W in an 8x10 is plenty. The overdrive circuit looks nice too. I'm just trying to get over buying budget gear but who the shag cares. If it sounds good it is good.

What does a tube rectifier do for you.

Think of it like this:

Tube Rectifier = Classic Marshall/Fender style classic rock style tones, there's a bit of sag and bloom - a microsecond or two of delay between the time that you hit the strings and the time that the note comes out of the speaker.

Solid State Rectifier was invented by Mesa to satisfy the thrash metal guys that needed a tighter, quicker response so that they could play fast without it sounding like a wall of mush.

That's how it was explained to me anyway.
