My Uncle and his buddy had a non-legit business were they painted an old truck red and called it Sanford and Sons hauling LOL, they got busted for illegal dumping and the codes dude got them good, said OK I won't fine you if you clean the whole area and take it to the dump, they said but we didn't do all of this, he said so ha ha ha.

Driving with a trailer is mostly a matter of being aware of your actual size, where you're going and how you're moving. Most of the accidents I've seen have been people surprised where the trailer was going, how it took corners or what was actually behind them, because they didn't know or didn't look first.

Agreed re: blend. I ended up selling or trading mine when I got the Fender Sublime, but I'd had it on my board for years prior to that.

Since I'm in pedal repair mode I'm considering doing the master volume mod: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/bass-big-muff-volume-mod-713891/

Seems to be fairly simple.

I've tried blending the dry out and effect out with a couple of different small mixers, but it always ends up being a hassle - extra power supply required, board space taken up - and the resulting output signal was always super hot - sent my amp into thermal shutdown a couple of times. Couldn't get the levels right, or once I did I'd throw the pedalboard in a case and all of the knobs would be out of place. It sounded great when it worked, it was just a pain to deal with.

When I used to use it I didn't use the clean blend and just ran all dirty signal into an X-blender. That was better than the BBM blend but still not very pleasing to me so I scrapped both and moved on.

Guess I'm in this cat now :) .... joined this band "Camel of Doom' last sept (just main guy Kris & me at the mo but it's been his baby for 13 years or so) he did play/tour with Esoteric for a while ... different from what I used to play (& listen to) but really enjoying it. Gonna be recording next album soon ..... tbc :)

I've actually heard of Camel of Doom. Downloaded a lot of the stuff he had up for free several years ago. Good songs, thought they could benefit from a real band treatment, which is what you're doing! Good luck!
