He didn't even say thanks. This exceeded even my assumptions of how greedy and entitled someone could be with another Talkbass member...and he blew off my PM. Dude, all you had to do was say thanks. That's it. How freaking hard is that?

Since I've been a TB member, I've donated another $700 cab to a church via Brad Johnson and I've given a set of SDG pickups to someone on the waiting list so they could end their frustration - (I don't think they would get the pickups any other way at this point.) I thought I was helping someone out that wanted to get into having a Greenboy Cab. I was way off. You have no redeemable qualities, man. None. I fully expect that you will simply sell the cab in 6 months. Whatever.

And Sartori - you two deserve each other.

Sorry man I saw the PM and read it but didn't know how to respond, and still don't really. I've not really been home and I'm currently out with friends meeting girls. And I have been drinking but here it goes...

I'm not sure what you want really. I offered to buy the cab you denied me the sale, I offer
you again and we just got mad. Then you offered it to me for free so I took it. I'm sorry if I didn't say thank you but I swear I did if I forgot that's my fault but I really don't remember, but I am thankful.

I have no idea what you mean by me making you carry the cab at all. I asked for your address and you told me specifically to meet you 20 miles from wherever you live at a jerky store. If you mean I made you carry it from your car to mine, I parked right next to you and you had a brand new mustang so...

A. I never ever have gotten into someone else's car as part of a meet so I didn't start with you.
B. Your car is super nice and I'm not gonna be the dude who bashed your car trying to wrangle a cab out.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do, I offered you jerky because I forgot to buy you beer, but you asked to meet at a jerky store not close to your house so I figured you had a hankering for some and offered you jerky.

I'm really not sure what you want from me, but I am honored to have been a part of your experiment and thank you again for the cab.

I see myself using this as part of a stereo rig so I do not anticipate selling it, but I just finished school and don't have a job so if that happens just know I truly have hit hard times...

So again I'm both sorry and thankful. If you want to hate me that's ok. I just don't know what to do, you made your experiment and I failed, not many people consider me the scum of the Earth but I can't appease everyone.

I bought a Bluebeard after you canceled the sale and some other stuff too so I was not prepared to offer you the price of the cab anyways. I do sell and repair music gear as a "job" so I understand your fear I used you for a flip but that's not my intention.

So once again thank you, I'll try it out soon. I'm happy as a clam. You've put me in a position to look bad, and maybe I do, but I can't really come back from being told i have no redeeming qualities so all I can say is thanks and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I still think you should get the F115.

Sartori if he has to sell his gear, he should really consider selling it on craigslist with the story of what's up. Then offer the rig for cash + trade of some dirt cheap setup to keep him playing. A solid state combo and DS-1 is better than nada.

California seems expensive so I'm not sure how used gear goes there, but if I were him I'd shoot for like a 1x15 peavey bass combo like a TNT or TKO and never sell it. That way he's got headroom to stack some cheap dirt. then if this ever happens again to himself or anyone in the band no matter what they play its covered with a backup. I've gotten several of both those combos from $0-$50 on craigslist.

Nice rebuttal askrere. Youre a good guy don't let one guy and one extra unusual deal make you or anyone else think otherwise. How do I know? We're the same day person, and I'd like to think I'm a good guy.

Steelbed guy, what do you do for a living that you can just give high valued stuff away...I can understand from donating to a charity or something aspect but just to see if someone says thanks? Thats a bit foolish to me like throw money out of your car windoe, of course 99% of the people are going to be very thankful whether they say it or not. Are you some type of ____ologist and this experiemnt will be published? What will you change askreres name to?
