My God.. I just had a major freak out. My rusty warwick, which is the most expensive piece of gear I ever bought, started making this real loud white noise hiss as soon as I plugged it in. I thought "oh ****!! thats bad!". Started scouring the interwebs for ideas and kept finding "your preamp has gone bad". Uh..... nope. Not quite.....
Dead battery. Never had that as a dead battery symptom before in other basses, but I guess thats the warning sign in Warwicks.

The world is ending and everything is on fire!! Wait, never mind...just needed a new battery.

how do you guys feel about weekday shows?

I usually let the other guys book the shows but asked to just go easy on the weekday gigs. now im looking at tonight and Thursday gigs with work early the next morning.

I hate to be a a bummer but there always seems to be some excuse as to why we "have" to do these shows then we just end up playing last and I end up with a 215 sliding around in the back of my Honda all week.

It depends who it's with, and which weekday. Thursday is better than, say, tuesday. Also depends when we'll be playing. Nobody likes us, so we usually play first.

Piss is better than everything but learning and cereal?

Who knew your were that into water sports.

Good. ****ing finally. I'd like them a lot more if they'd quit after Bon Scott died.

Better than dragging it out. Seeing The Who play the superbowl after Entwistle died made me want to give them the Old Yeller treatment.

Yeah, no disrespect to Pino from me, but The Who just sounds weak without Entwistle.

Last night at rehearsal, one guitarist had a faulty cable, and the other was using his backup guitar... which ended up having a wiring problem. It was quite the farce.

Re: AC/DC, it's a shame it came down to Malcolm having a stroke (that's what I read, at least) to shut them down. In the post-Bon era, I really only liked Back in Black (despite its over-playedness) a smattering of cuts beyond that album and the AC/DC Live album. My pops got their recent live Bluay, I watched it and thought they did pretty well for a veteran band.

Re: The Who, yeah, it's tough saying they sound anything like The Who without The Ox. They don't. He was a massive part of their sound, maybe even more central to it than Moon. I dunno. I don't really have a beef with Daltrey/Townshend going out and performing, but to call it The Who is a bit of a farce. In the end, though, people just wanna hear the tunes.

PA100 or 135.

My guitarist for Flying Medusa has one, I don't know if its just his amp being all original, but its got a fender fuzzy od not fender clean. But it sounds really good.
