Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Spent some time reading threads in Band Management. I do not want to be in a band now, LOL.
Yeah there's a lot of drama in there. But I think most of those guys are like real working musicians and sh*t.

Haha that's funny you have that Behringer. That was like my first real amp and god I hated it. I've only ever seen one person gig with that, Rat Babies.

I love mine, it's been my reliable battle horse for over 2 years. Never been too fond of its tone but it's good enough when dialed properly, gets the job done and many times has even proven to be overkill when paired with my Borquez cabs. :D

Yall every have those moments where you forget where you are?

Got some decent headphones coming. Need to buy a crappy desk and hook up my laptop to my interface and start practicing. Start playing around with Reaper and order ezdrummer next. May need a better computer.

At the new place giving the washer and dryer a test run. Snapped a pic of my new old work bench. I love basements, going to be spending a lot of time here, i think.

That's a nice bench son. Wish I had a basement workspace to retreat to, right now my family is shacked up with my dad since he has like 3 spare rooms. Wish we could get outta there sooner but I'm in the middle of filing for bankruptcy so we'll see. I have all of my gear and electronics/amp projects crammed into one bedroom and it's hard to be very productive in there, since everything can't be hooked up and ready to go at once. By the time I have something ready to work on, our 2 year old is awake from his nap and it's back to dad time, haha

The Tobias was waiting for me at lunch when I got home. Opened it up, it's got some player mojo, has the asymmetrical neck carve, really light, plays nice, sounds good. All the knobs make different sounds when turned, so that's good.
Was pretty bright sounding, so I'm going to have to spend some quality tweaking time to get to know the tones.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. Pics to follow, if I can figure out how to do them from the iPad..

Is 20(awg) too thick for guitar wire.\? I meant to order 22 gauge and clicked the wrong damn thing. Also I got 500K pots on the Forever bass, one mudbucker and one SCPB pup in it. Should I run a 22 or a 47 cap with 500k pots? I put the 47 in put the tone pot hasn't been working so have to fix it this weekend and wondering if I should use the 22 cap I have instead of the 47. I don't want to cut mids just maybe some highs for Motowny diddlin'.
