Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Yeah do it up, I would appreciate it. I dig the vintage dual purpose amps for guitar and bass concept and have been intrigued with the SS preamp/power tube setup for a while. I need to start making clips. I see how Darkonar set up his DR and need to get familiar with the DR my girlfriend bought me last Christmas and sadly haven't used at all.
I will record practice, and see if anything sounds ok, make some regular clips too.

I was really into Wolfmother for a while, then I foolishly read some articles about what a dick the main dude is/was. Kind of ruined it for me, that and their original keys/bass dude left and I thought he was really cool. Made me really want to get into a project where I can switch between bass and synth on a whim. I would still love to see those bands though, I bet that was a great time!
So my neighbors whose dog died because they let it run in the street was actually a newer dog like he showed up a few weeks after I did to the neighborhood. But they already had one, and he's still allowed to/ignored...just run around in the road all day.
Vocalist came out last night, he had ideas and lyrics, most of his stuff is satanic which I guess can go either way, but he's building a pretty interesting theme, he wants to name our long song the evil entertainer and he wants the lyrical content to pertain to kabal which who was satan jester/master of ceremonies in paradise lost. Aside from actually lyricism he also has a very profound and dynamic singing voice, he's big fan of bobby from pentagram, glen Danzig, and glen huges and I think elements of a three show, so for those of you that like the clean church or misery or the guttural stuff, I think that's the direction were headed in, although I would never seen it comin g in a million years lol.
That's really cool that he's at least involved enough to want to take you guys in a direction though, and a badass one at that.
Yeah I'm glad I can share some of creative control now, my drummer and rhythm guitarist deny all responsibility lyrically or otherwise, it's just been me and my lead guitarist writing songs, another thing I can give to the new guys credit is, he's a bad ass guitar player himself, I think he gonna use to his advantage when writing, also he said he has few riff ideas, he currently working my lead guitarist epi les Paul and let him borrow a Gibson sg standard as fill in lol, he never ceases to blow me away with his generosity. Mind you were still using his Mesa dual rectifier too!
Spent some time reading threads in Band Management. I do not want to be in a band now, LOL.
Yeah that place is very Type A, cover band oriented. Hard to read sometimes.
At the new place giving the washer and dryer a test run. Snapped a pic of my new old work bench. I love basements, going to be spending a lot of time here, i think.
I guess people really do listen to the shite that is played on the radio stations.
