Beast in the field took it to a new level of amplification last night
If it was about $600 cheaper I'd actually be really interested, because it does look pretty clean.
$70 Washer and dryer set working successfully! That's a bargain.

How come vintage ibanez stuff is so awesome and the new new stuff is so meh...?
Depends on perspective. Some folks really like the new stuff. In 30 years somebody could say the same thing.
I don't care for the new Ibanez because most of it has active electronics. Which is "better technology" than the passive stuff from the '70s. To me its more consistent but also consistently without character. Of course there are so many turds from that era is not funny.
Lots of character is bad character, very little is good.
Most awesome original brands don't change much in terms of looks.
Ibanez though, aside from the ATK and that one series that looked vintage but wasn't... I had the transparent amber guitar one a minute. Also the Iceman is like the only pointy bass I'd rock aside from a V.
Everything else is gross, but if your in a nu metal band or korn cover band... But not a fan of them either.

Because it merits it's own post, really want a starcaster bass now... I did think it was 32" but it's actually 30" scale but that don't deter me much obviously.

I had a student who was using a Ibanez either SR or GSR something or other and the only thing I could ever think was that the upper horn was definitely a dildo.

'60s Sunn 200S Bass amp with original 2x15" JBL D140 speakers, and 2nd cabinet with JBL D130. Amp recently overhauled by Kent at Backstage Tech. Serv. in Cotati. Cabinet tolex has some road rash. Kent's reaction: "I forgot how loud these Sunns were!"
