Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

If I'm to be responsible I probably need to worry less about personal gear and flip more.

That means either getting a trailer for my corolla or buying a beater pickup.

This truck and this topper tempt me hard if I could make the cash fast enough.

He sold me a shaging cursed svt I swear thing needs to be fully recapped and everything probably, got it for 800 then I saw him at party and made him give me set of power tubes and 100 bucks lol, he tried out for my band before this and he was playing way to fast and we told him and he said " this music is too slow and boring" mind this is the guy that said I'll try out, I love saint vitus....?

You want a good, reliable, and easy to work on truck? Look for 80s Toyota pickups.

My friend's dad drove an old Toyota truck that was being held together by bondo and spray paint. It had over 300,000 miles on it and he used it everyday for his painting business. Had a few fishing trips in that truck too.

Oh, it's just the same rig I was using for the doom band. My LH1000 in its SKB case and two Hartke Clone Behringer 1x15 cabs. Much too big for our tiny apartment so they've been stowed in parents' basement for the last couple of months. I'm just pumped to be able to play bass through something that isn't a headphone amp.

I posted a photo of the guitar on here before, it's Lotus Les Paul copy from the 70s. It's surprisingly awesome all around.

What am I looking for in a 1980's Toyota pickup? Is the windshield safety glass or will I die a mangled corpse?

No salt here so that's not an issue. I have mechanically inclined friends, I don't know anything really but I can hold a flashlight steady and learn!

I'd want automatic :laugh:
