Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Happy Friday everyone, had a good GH practice last night. It was another late one so I used the half setup again. I actually like the tone of the half setup better than the full setup. At least in our practice space. The wall o peavey might be just too much for a smaller space, needs more room to breath. Its a lot easier to write without the bonecrushing volume as well. We are finally getting structure to the Om tribute song, something I've never been able to do. I really needed a solid drum beat to play off of to get the riffs right. Actually writing it out helps too, go figure.

Have you posted any tunes up here yet?

Spells and sh*t.
Burn the witch! :p

I do t believe in a literal form of a bad man telling you to do things. I make no allegiance to any gods. I don't practice Wicca, so no spells. I believe in being yourself. Having your own set of morals and traditions. I don't need a rule book for life, just use common sense.
+1 kind of confused me. Warrior don't they need to be in a war for that, are they soldiers? I don't believe in any god other than Bigfoot LOL.
Not necessarily. The different demons mentioned in the Goetic readings vary. The (IMO) cool ones are really cool and the lame ones are really lame. I just like the occult and like reading about it. I do think humans have potential to lock in with spirits. I believe in ghosts. I have experienced them. The most spine tingling moment, is when you ask a question of an entity, and get a reply.

The idea is that humans are the gods. We only need to tap our energy. Imagine it like the young apprentice striving to be the grand wizard. That's the idea if the lemegeton. Of course I don't believe I'll be a wizard or any of that, but in my D&D brain, it's extremely awesome.

I've skimmed through a lot of things that I downloaded off an occult site. More out of curiosity. Some of them are lame as hell. Some are really cool. Just like the demons.
I always see these movies with cool old occult books with sick drawings, and I think I want some of those. haha.

N/A all the way

That's pretty much humanism- the belief that humans are capable of discerning between right and wrong without any higher power. I consider myself a humanist. We're capable of solving our own problems.
