Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

All this talk of building basses, I really want a Fenderbird.
Took the Pbass out for its first Still Valley gig Friday. It sat so perfect in the mix. You could feel the mixed genre show, once we started. Someone once said, Melvins can either clear a room or change peoples' lives. Well, we cleared it except for about 10 people. However, three people specifically came up to me afterwards to tell us we rocked the place. Got our first crowd funded beers. So, I guess we changed their lives... The goth band wasn't bad. The first band was good, but I don't want to hear more than one cover song in an originals set. And even then, it better be damn good.
Speaking of, we haven't played (all day) working man in a while. I asked last practice and no plans to bring it back. Going to try and get a few songs written the next few practices. Working on a song that is about a gun rider from old west Colorado. There's enough landscape here to be inspired. Should be gnarly.

So like once a month or so the soles of my feet and hands shed completely off and renew that happen to anyone else?
Yes - scored. Plan is to put them into my white/black fender (hot rod) p/j which is tuned to C, and make some joyful noise.

So, a Megalith clone is coming in the mail very soon. And a Mastotron clone. Next month I'm probably getting a brown dog/00funk in one pedal.
Hope the LMII can take it; it didn't seem to react well to the EBS overdrive.

Sanded down the neck pocket to fit the Jaguar neck last night. Jazzbird in the works. The body is so super light I think I will use that big heavy mass bridge I have and swap the tuners to Hipshot ultralights. The only stain I think will work is a black one with that neck.
I'll do that neck time I am working on it. I really like how the tru oil came out on the Forever bass, so thinking I just want to tint the oil with some black artist oil to get a see through to the grain blackish look. I think it will highlight the grain and look different shades of black like when I did some dark blue artist oil tests on some scrap wood.
