I should try to return it. It's pretty beat up. But the sale thread is gone. Might be more hassle than it's worth.
That's some bullsh*t. It's use it or lose it here, so no one tries to refuse requests unless it's really critical. I have the nicest boss in the world too, so that helps.
Yeah he owes you an explanation at the very least. I'd be mad enough to cancel the whole deal. The switch really feels like a con to me.
In my group, everyone else has about 25 years of seniority over me. If one or more of them are on vacation, I cant take time off. As they have a lot of time with the company they are rolling 5-6 weeks a year of PTO as well. Makes it hard for me to find time.

Yep. I would cancel the PayPal payment, then tell him to send a shipping sticker so I can send the bass back. If he doesnt want to cover shipping both ways, then he doesnt get the bass back.
How is the guy's feedback? Is he selling more than one bass? If he is a dolt make sure he doesn't sell the one you wanted to someone else by mistake.

you have 90 days to dispute with PayPal, if you funded the transaction from a credit card i suggest you open the dispute with them. it is usually easier than doing it through paypal.
