So yeah this new Mastodon track is kinda lame seeming, but I have thought the same of every album since Blood Mountain and eventually it grows on me. But yeah this track has zero power behind it. At least those other albums have some impact behind them.

I'm sure its already been discussed at length, but this site looks like garbage now.

I'm splitting my time between both, like Don Draper with NYC and LA. Getting nothing done in either, but looking super busy.

I didn't know about the retro view. This is much easier on the eyes. All the posts blend together otherwise and I read less of them.

Haven't tried it on my (droid) phone yet, waiting for them to fix the app. I had tapatalk for awhile, but for some reason it kept hogging RAM and wearing down the battery so I deleted it.

Don't know, but after using Chrome for android for a long time I tried the regular browser that was on my phone and it's twice as fast as Chrome. Defaults to yahoo search, but I haven't had an issue with that.

Mine has one tiny banner ad at the top, it's just a straight line of replies with all the quote and like buttons below each.

Been listening to Louder than Love recently. Probably been 10-15 years since I last heard it, well before I got into stoner/doom. Surprising how doomy Louder than Love is actually.

i cant get into that album, you can tell where they were headed and the album has some moments but overall im just not into it. Badmoterfinger is the first one i really thought they figured it out. plus ben shepherd isnt on LTL and hes one of my favorite bassists.

im listening again now to see if i can dig it this time, we shall see.

I mean actual dogs, not slang for my own friends.

If drinking while listening to records with your dog is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

noah was awesome. ironically i love religious movies even tho im not religious at all. passion of the christ is probably the single most brutal movie ive ever seen, the torture scenes are just unparalleled in terms of disturbing content. im just a sucker for wrath of god type plots haha!

I heard a lot of right wing Christian groups were pretty upset about Noah. Because it was more graphic and violent than they remembered from their little kids' version of the bible that they last read the story in.

So for the first time in about 6 months I used my 810 yesterday. It's amazing how scooped it is compared to my 215s. Not only that, but I always considered my self a person who likes a lot of mids in my sound. But I guess I didn't know what a lot of mids is until now. In reality I actually prefer a mid scoop. Even when I boosted the mids when using the 810 it still had less mids than the 215s. With the 215s I'm really having to cut the mids around 600hz with my para eq to get a good sound. The 215s sound great with no EQ with a clean tone but any overdrive sound like honky garbage and I need to really dial down the mids. The Bluebeard and TFR sound better with the 215s though, probably because they have mid scopped sound to begin with.

Speaking of the Bluebeard, does anyone have samples of it next to the Wizard Fuzz?


As for BBQs, we start once you can reach the BBQ in the backyard. I had about 4 feet of snow back there this year. No way was I going to shovel my way to the grill.

First BBQ of the year will be this weekend.

Might also be that the mids the 810 has are different from the mids the 215s have. Might be stronger in the low mids, while the 215s are stronger in the mid mids. I like sounding like honky garbage, though. Honky garbage is my jam. Once the rest of the band is playing it doesn't quite as annoying (sadly).
