Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Time to pack up and see if we have a band still. Last weeks blowout has since been un resolved from last check. Should be an interesting band meeting.

Hope poopie pans out, I feel the same way, we got this demo coming up and everyone in my band is being so half ass so instead of breaking my back over it, I decided to let the chips fall where they may, I know that I'm gonna kill either way :b

James Gang Rides Again $5 vinyl

It's funk #49 time. Gta v came in the mail so that's fun until day of the dead fest later.

Last night I was at a rap show Halloween party and this one guy remembers me from a music video shoot over a year ago and the show started with a shout out to me lol that kinda surprised me as I knew hardly anyone there.

finished the tracks for the museum today, had to play some electric piano and reverse one of the intros, when we added the delay, auto wah, and overdrive it sounded a little like marilyn manson/jesus and marychain doing a movie soundtrack together, tried to trade in my gibson flying v for a g&l lb-100 at a pawn shop, not sure if they were the dumbest people i've ever met or if they thought i was trying to scam them, but i deal with ignorance and confrontation all week at work so i try to avoid it on my days off, anyway i'll be at practice tomorrow, already dreading it, but i realized how rude it sounded when i said that maybe just the drummer and the singer should practice since i don't want to drive 26 miles to watch her sing the lyrics from her iphone or see him look at me everytime he loses the beat, hopefully i can play with better folks once the museum show tracks get out there, it would be nice to take the sweet guitarist with me

Classic metal band was really good, GnR banned sucked so i split. I got this thing:

The plan is to use it with the altec power amp until i get that sorted out, then look for a better preamp. Plugged the ART preamp into the effects return of the LH1000 and with the dB boost engaged it drove the power section with excess volume to spare. I can even get some grit from the one 12AX7. Pretty impressive little box.

nice
I've been doing the same with a vt bass di (running it into the effects return)with whatever amp there has been whereever I happen to be jamming.
So far it has always sounded good and saves me from lugging my svt/810 around. My wife now refuses to help me move it I needed a solution.
Must say I am impressed with that box.

ART makes some killer gear for the price.
