Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

wow that SUCKS. I love godheadsilo, I always wondered what happened to them. I have their Scientific Supercake LP, it has some of the most bowel-distending bass tones and best song titles ever. They were doing the bass-drums duo thing way before OM, Evil Beaver, Lightning Bolt, Big Business, DFA 1979, Royal Blood, Hex Volt, and Galactic Hatchet made it cool.

Awww shucks man, totally don't belong in a list of duos of that caliber...thanks!

Also you forgot about Bismuth. And if you dono know of them, your welcome.

It's been a couple days dudes. I made and packed 2500lbs of bread last night. It's been a long string of nights at the job.

Currently my right pointer finger has a nasty open burn blister. Hurts like hell to handle salt and play bass. I am useless with a pick. Got it by foolishly soldering at 3 am the other night after coming home from a party. Other than that, I broke my left wrist probably 7 years ago and was in a full arm cast. My dumb*** was trying to continue band practice and propped my bass up on a stool to play it like an upright. Well, it slipped off and I caught my 10lb p bass with the broken wrist. I was done for the night and will not repeat that mistake.

Also you dudes all make great music. I want to by your vinyls but don't have a player, and I am terrible at maintaining a CD collection. Truly a dilemma.

How about downloads?
Free all day!

I like downloads but I like supporting amigos more. Normally I collect sweet shirts at shows I attend exclusively. But since the likelihood of me seeing 85% of y'all is next to name I need to do something different. Thinking about collecting sweet vinyls to listen to one day when I can find a record player and stereo for an affordable price. I also have a strict budget that gets rained upon by constant gas attacks. Time to shift priorities.

Turns out All Them Witches is playing Sunday. So leatherface checked out Project Grimm... Pretty good local band.
