***. I can see rains drops hitting a puddle 500 yards away but I can't read the ****ing TV Guide!!!
Thus far I have decided that the sound I like best is running that titty wide open on volume and bass with the switch down (on or off) and the treble on 6 or 7 with contour around 4. D.M.N. how to I test whether tubes are still good? I'd still like to replace to something matched. Currently has two different kinds of 6550s. I feel like the consensus is to go with JJs but I'm open to suggestions.
Guitards seemed apprehensive about me micing. Thought I was loud enough. But they both rehearse with a single 412 and JCM2000. Loud rigs are 4 412s and 4 JCM2000s and small stage are full stacks so I doubt that would work. I'm assuming your 2x215 2000s rigs use 8 ohm 215?
It also looks like my SB2 pups are microphone as I was getting feedback if I didn't have my hand over the pups and wasn't playing. I'm going to look into repotting before replacing them.
Boss HM2 comes to mind - that's what all of the first-gen swedish death metal guys were using (Entombed, Dismember, etc). That or a SS guitar head - Ampeg SS-150 was used by a lot of the Florida DM bands.
I'm just constantly amazed at the resolution of human eyes.
I'd run the sunn with the ampeg too in that case. You still have enough cabs right?

I'm considering g changing my finish. Thoughts?
Yep. Ampeg to 810 and Sunn to 215, if that loopmaster that I ordered ever shows up... You know I should have researched the company a little more before ordering, so the wait is definitely on me. I do find a lot of humor that when googling "loopmaster turn around times" I found a thread where the guy form loopmaster said that he was working on shortening those times from 3 months to 1 week while also asserting that he had times down to 2 to 3 weeks. This was in 2011. I ordered my pedal 2 months ago and the build hasn't begun yet. Makes me wish I ordered something more complicated than an ABY pedal. Might make the wait seem worth it.
Also came across A LOT of people posting to say that they ordered a Loopmaster only to sell it immediately because by the time they received it their rig had changed enough that they no longer needed it. This guy was a member of that forum. You would think he would take the hint. Oh well. Gotta get this amp properly serviced before I can run it live anyway.

Go with what you know you like. Every time I've experimented or compromised on a high end bass build, I've regretted it later.
I like both. That is the problem.
If I could get the flat black stain finish their ABZs come with, I would. Not offered on the combustion. Part of me has always wanted a natural finish, but the black burst is sexy.
