Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Well i finished up my accelerated algebra course on Tuesday - this is the first weekend since August that i don't have any school work to do. I think I'm going to try and finish up the blend pedal that i started. I just need to buy a solder sucker tomorrow morning.

What kind of solder sucker you getting? I like my dad's old spring loaded one, I bought a modern version in blue aluminum and it's spring is weak or something, barely does any removal.

So I'm thinking of doing my first tour, play our way to sxsw, and if we can find a show for it. Logistically it would probably be GH. Leave Wednesday night and Monday would be the long drive home.

Lots of planning to do but I think I will be able to swing it.

You're bringing peavey henge to my home town!

Depending on trailer rental I may bring 4 cabs, 3 amps. Afterparty house show anyone? I'll really shake your shack.

My house I rent is 4 hours from Austin. Could probably crash for free at my aunts house near down town. Your trailer would be safe there. No greenery shenanigans at their house though, they got kids. I've had other friends crash their during festivals.

Current shootout, MXR as a wild card :)

PW-2! How was it?

Edit: found your reaction in a subsequent post. How was low-end retention?

New stuff day!
Chinese RAT clone finally got here today, played it for half an hour, I must say I really like it. I don't have any experience with RATs, but I really like what I'm hearing. It has three setting, appartently for Vintage, Dirty and Turbo RAT sounds. So far, Turbo setting sounds the best. Dirty is way quieter and cuts some lows.
Well, PT Jr is all populated, now time to play pedal tetris, change cables and make space for some more magic boxes :D It never ends...
Also, got Marshall Major headphones today.

The RAttack!

I guess I have a thing for single pup passive basses. The active preamp in my L2000 was giving me fits. I figured out what was wrong after I ripped it all out. I decided to hook up a single volume control just to mess around and it sounds dangerous!!! Strangely enough almost any pedal sounds great with this bass (and headphones). Maybe I've been using the wrong bass for dirt for all of these years.
Now what do I do with a spare MFD?
