Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

They moved the Musicgoround in Wilkes-Barre and I got a kick out them being next to Polish Pottery for some reason and took a pic. Got to diddle a Peavey T45 in cherry condition. So versatile for just a single pickup bass. It was $320 and if it wasn't Christmas time I think I would of bought it.

Man that T45 is on my mind as that super versatile pickup in the p bass position was pure awesome. They had the pickup so high the strings were hitting the magnet and popping so I couldn't play right over the pickup. Crazy how many sounds you get out of those pickups with those weird tone controls. The thing was cherry too...

FN stellar board. You ever decide to make some for sale, count me in.
I'm actually tempted... They sell for $150-250 for similar ones online. But if I was selling them to make $$$ Id feel obligated to set up the quality. Id end up getting a table saw, nice long clamps, router, orbital sander, and maybe a nail gun. I'd have to sell 15 to cover the cost of building the wood shop is need to make a high quality product.

that is the one thing you have to watch out for with those 'blade' pickups, it the string hits it is obnoxious

the t45 has the coil tapping tone control AND a mid knob is i remember correctly

SCORE!
so a few months ago I sold my all natural Deluxe American Jazz to a localish TB'er. I've been kicking myself ever since. I hit him up last night to see if he was still in love with it. He said he was just contemplating a way to fund a sadowsky. This morning he met me and I bought it back! Yes yes y'all! And ya don't stop!

Ps.. I need to move to a legalization state.

Never got around to it and still Can't decide on a pedal to put in my cow skull, so my dad's gonna help make some FET circuit that blinks LEDs in the eye sockets to the rate of the signal it's fed.

Should be a fun project. Stack it on top of a rig or between my record player and speakers. It along with my first bass and it's burned wood design are part of a functional art rig I'd like to make with all the spare crap I have collected.
