Finished my pedalboard. Can't wait to get pedals on it. Wood on the sides is diseased knotty pine the rest is... Ash... maybe. Ebony stain. Valspar semi gloss urethane. Solderless locking 1/4 jacks and other hardware was from

You just drill a 7/8 hole. Screw them in and plug a 1/4 cable in either side. Super easy. Plus I figured it would make changing things up from time to time nbd.

I wanna say parts were $40, wood $15, misc stuff $10, so cost about $65 to make. I just used my cordless combo set. Had the stain and urethane left over from my amp head build.

Cool, I've never seen that before. That would be a fun project to do. All the wood and related parts would be free for me, would just have to pay for the jacks, I could probably even dig up the plug out of our shop somewhere if I looked hard or scavenged something. I have no good reason to though, I have a PT-2 that I'm not even using right now. I would be using it if I was in a gigging band with my dual amp/cab rig, just use the Mini at home for demo recording.

I hope everybody in the DOOM room had a great holiday. I got my taste fully back about a week before Thanksgiving so mine was fantastic. Been woodshedding like crazy and I can confidently say I am playing at my highest level ever. Maybe someday I'll have the time to do it in a band situation but it is still pretty satisfying to see the improvement.

Quick question. What do you guys use to keep rhythm when practicing solo? I'm interested in some kind of drum machine or a Beat Buddy or something like that. I would be real interested in knowing what you all like to use. Thanks!

Strong possibility I can score an SVT Classic by Xmas time assuming the seller continues his string of rotten luck and still can't flip it. Fat Ampeg tube tone would be amazing in my new band.

BFX-708, it's old and crappy. Has a great chorus but that's about it. The built-in metronome has sufficed.
A beat buddy would be great but as a practice tool it's more than I'm willing to spend.

Haven't played music with the band in like 3 or 4 weeks now. Drummer has carpal tunnel and is out of commission for now. Itching to play. Took the SVT in for repairs....again. I don't know what it is about that amp. Got it fixed a year ago, sounded great for two or 3 jams. Didn't play it again until last month and it sounded like crap. no volume and very distorted. Sounds like the V1 12DW7 has gone bad. I don't know why V1 keeps dying on me.
