Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Julien, I brought my girlfriend some Plumpy's cabbage pierogi from my Thanksgiving trip back to PA. Had to brown them about six at a time, these were the last three, I think my girlfriend almost cried when I said the last three. Damn I miss the food up there already and only back two days, FN Virginians don't know how to cook. I wanted to get a pic of the one store that on top of the roof they had a huge sign that said Pierogies(they make them but don't know the plural form LOL)

If I had it my way, we wouldnt have been slinging horsesh!t sweet potatoes. Would have been pierogie and kapusta.

Man I had some stellar kielbasa back home, best I ever had and there is even an annual Kielbasa Festival in my home town. Tradition is being cut down by the younger generation sadly, not as many places to get the good stuff as there used to be. Went in to two bar/restaurants and the big deal was aged beef hamburgers, too much tv breeds too much snobbery. Give me old country food regardless of country any day of the week.

Such a small detail, but I love the twisted cast iron look on the handles.Kind of a rancho/southwestern feel w/ the finish.

The LEDS are just for general coolness, or do they illuminate the pedal controls?

Got Darkglass B3K today. Said goodbye to Joyo UD. My overdrive quest is over for now. Sounds great in the mix, awesome with fuzz. Could be a bit less expensive, but sometimes you have to treat yourself.
Now if I only could quench my GAS... So many more pedals I'd love to buy, so little cash... And I don't even need them! :D

I thought I was walking into an easy night due to yesterday's stock levels and one of my two guys being off... well after 1400 lbs of mix I can say I was incorrect. Black Pyramid comenceth.

I am super pumped about my fuzz future. I have that Chtulhu en route and have the board for my GCFX ultra stoner half populated. Got the daughter boards for the clean blend I am adding. Should be sick. Any thoughts on to high an HFE? I have these Indian b109c's that average at 900. Wondering the effect of to much. Also have some b109c I. The 400 range.

Lately I've been using overdrive more as an always-on pedal instead of fuzz and started to feel UD's low end loss. I loved the tone, but felt it just sucked out too much. Now, even when I'm not heard, I've got this enormous low end presence in the mix that I love. And to tell the truth, I was a bit underwhelmed playing it at home. But at band practice, it was almost instant love.
