Yeah, it was two spare tanks so no critters in them.
Welp, got out of work last night. What is my reward after putting in 75 hours this past week? My phone blowing up. Family sh!t escalated to about as bad as it can get, pretty much negating all the time, work, and money I have spent trying to keep their sh!t moving in the right direction.
Bummer, you can bring the water to the horse and sometimes it still won't drink...Good on you for helping kin like that!
Damn, that's poopy. It's hard to help people when they won't let themselves be helped. Especially hard when it's family. Hang in there, man.
Weekend was busy, finished up the big research paper for my English class. Wrote about nanotechnology, was pretty interesting.
Tying up the last of the loose ends before we leave for the UK in a week, really looking forward to that trip. I've never been to Europe, I like history and old stuff, so it should be very fun and interesting.
Also picked up a USB game pad for the laptop - thanks to emulators I now have pretty much every video game ever made for Sega Master System, Genesis, NES and Super Nintendo. It's so cool having all of that in a nice portable format, with the ability to add a second USB controller and plug into the TV via HDMI or VGA cable. Played a lot of Golden Axe and Streets of Rage saturday night.
I found that using a big fat Clayton triangle pick made a huge difference in endurance over the blue Dunlop tortex picks that I had lying around for guitar use. Just by getting more thumb area on the pick lets you play harder & longer and use you arm more efficiently with less hand muscle fatigue. IME, YMMV, etc.
Orange Goblin and Down were both great last night. I somehow missed Bl'ast!, so they must have opened since we caught the last few songs of King Parrot's set. The crowd had the requisite number of annoying drunk ruining it for a lot of other people during Down's set, but they were great onstage.
I'm going to miss the Chicago date of that tour because we'll be in England. Hard to believe that it's been 19 years since I saw Down.
my lakland skyline p had horrible feedback and low level treble hiss with the rat tail, however the jazz, sb-2, and l2000 were peachy keen, i didn't really mind it though cause the feedback works good in the context of our post punk/pre doom/noise core band
Oh yeah - on the Rat topic: Mine (US-Made Rat 2 w/ LM308) had some serious feedback problems at full band volume. I was standing pretty close to my rig, but it had more problems with feedback than any of my other dirt pedals. I ended up booting it from the board for this reason. OD Glove took its place for light OD, almost no feedback from that one.
Yeah I think I might sell off the Hellcat. I get fairly heavy gain by using the EQD Speaker Cranker into the SGFX Beta Drive. Funny how you have a bunch of pedals at first then you find favorites and the chain gets smaller and smaller.
My clone is noisy when not strumming, so I usually hit the mute. No hiss once mute is engaged. And when it's in, I try to riff or crest distortion soundscapes, although the Joyo UD is better for this. I'm going back and forth on rat and ultimate drive. The rat during guitar single note picking, Joyo during anything that we riff on together. Sounding good.
Guitar player's join DIY venue is doing well. They were able to pay all the bands, and even made a few bucks. Cut practice early yesterday to check it out (downstairs from practice room). It's super nice sound, total basement vibe. Just got to watch out for kids drinking. Don't need poopie shut down.
Man I just got peanut butter on my keyboard, what a mess, I guess that's what I get for not eating grown up food. Now on to the corn dog I picked up at the grocery store LOL.

Did your guitarist take out a loan and buy the place or is he renting the venue area? Curious how the venue came to be.
I figured you would have cleaning up peanut butter down to a science....
Takes some of the smell out plus rover will take over if you get tired...
I'll have to pick some up and try them out.
Peanut butter is a primary form of sustenance for me.
