I've had it both ways in the past. I've given notice and been asked if I could work a little longer and treated very nicely. I've given my notice, been let go immediately and been informed that my vacation and sick pay are forfeit.

The truth is, what's legal for employers is only relevant if you have the time to sue them or go through the process of filing a government complaint. I had a friend/coworker who had similar and worse happen with the same employer. He did act on it, but it took almost 2 years to resolve through EDD. He was single, childless and lived with his mom.

Yeah, what my slimy ex boss did was not legal, but i hated the place and was happy to get out two weeks early. I've been at the current place for over eight years now, and I'm much better off. Yeah, i could have gotten a lawyer and all of that noise but i didn't have the time or money to go to court. Oh well, I'm doing well and the former boss is a miserable, single, retail manager in his late 40s. I think i won that round.
Man a great gear sundering of stuff I never bothered to sell very hard. Probably 20 listings or more. Basses, amps, pedals, cabs, cases etc.
I want a class D power amp. Any suggestions. Not looking to break the bank just decently loud and reliable. Needs two sides one will be run at 8 ohms into the bassic and the other 4 ohms into the dually. So wattage appropriate.

What's wrong with the power amp that you have?

The Carvin DCM2000L is pretty good and pretty light. I got one recently in the bay for $325
It's heavier and much deeper than my cabs and preamp.
I think you'll find that only the cheapest class d power amps will be shallower than what you've already got. The crest and peavey models are pretty deep, even though they're class d. I know the behringer nuke amps are really shallow, but they are terrible (personal experience with those).
If you end up getting a rack or rack case it'll likely be deeper than your cabs. Nothing wrong with having some hang over the back.
Eff you Christmas. Was moving stuff to make room for the Christmas tree and had to move a terrarium. Well it was heavy and like a fool I didn't wait for the ol lady to help me. So I was lifting the top so I could get under the bottom and the plastic trim pops off and it slams down and smashes. A large piece sliced about a four inch slit in my left leg inside my knee. Not bad enough for stitches unless for cosmetic reasons to not have a big arse scar. Yeah FN Christmas....
Gotcha, well I'll probably get a rack first, and see how it goes unless I find a local used carvin or peavey or whatever else gets suggested. That setup can run both cabs, or one. Selling my Demeter and crate v50 combo in part of the sunder.
Still want a cheap peavey head for my two 4x10 columns. Debating about getting an old peavey PA head as they seem cheaper than the actual heads, then just feed it pedals and have a PA.
Leaves me with my pignose tube head project that I'm planning to make or find a cheap cab for. Maybe a 2x10.

LOL. Actually it was two tanks on a stand that was a sparw that I was meaning to get rid of before. She wanted to sell it and I wanted to take them to the dump. So it has been there for no reason but in the way for the Christmas tree. It took some blood but it is going to the dump, a hard won battle to say the least LOL.
