Ive been jamming my VI > blue box > modded metal zone > valve jr for home practice. Sputtery synthy fuzzy goodness.
Cant wait until my flats come in for my VI though, those stock strings are horrendous. So much string noise and twang. Ewwww.

well we may play the verse at a certain tempo and then the chorus may slow down or speed up intentionally. what I'm referring to is when we go back to the verse, as an example, it may be a different tempo than the first verse. technically they should be the same but it may not happen that way. it depends on how we "feel" the tempo should be based on what we think is happening in our story.
our first 2 albums were recorded live with the exception of the guitar overdubs. the last album we played live but only used the live drum track. bass and guitars were tracked separately. it was a bit tricky because we had to learn how the tempos shifted during the original live track that the drums were based on. but it allowed us to be more precise and cleaner with the guitars without being too clinical and maintaing a bit of a live feel.

I don't have a clue what lightjet prints are, but they're cool... I really dig the black and whites!
light jet is a printing process where a laser draws an image on a piece of photo paper from a digital file and then it goes through the standard chemicals for photographic printing

Don't know if it means I'm healthy again but I successfully ate sushi (raw!) last night with no fallout.
Goddamn i missed that stuff. I did puss out a little bit and my get tuna raw. Maybe in a few months I'll step up to octopus and roe again.
I know it's not doom but it's dead in here....
On the subject of a click track I've done it both ways.
With the Striking Method we never used a click and sometimes it worked out sometimes not.
With Necro Naught we only recorded to a click track and IMO the resulting argument and retracking caused some of us to lose interest. So some tracks worked well on click
and others have a jumble of half assed takes.
I really miss playing in NN, those dudes were great and way above my skill level, but I just didn't have the creative spark with them.
I think about this allot, if I spent too much time woodshedding to keep up or if I thought my ideas weren't good enough so I never indulged myself.

Damn Sushi, soon as I hear that word I am screwed because it will haunt me till I have some LOL. The girlfriend's folks were over for dinner and a movie last night and it was sushi this and sushi that. Thank goodness we bought the supplies and figured out to make a few rolls at the house to hold us over. Maybe tomorrow when we run over to Richmond we will hit up Sushi King($16.99 all you can eat, non-buffet)!!!, the best part it is right across the street from GC and Sam Ash. Got a gift card for GC to burn too. Sarah's Dad showed me how I effed up the wiring on the Jazzquarbird and how to fix it, that damn Gibson shielded wire(hate that shite) and using too high watt a soldering gun.

Damn, I want sushi. The wife and I used to get some good sushi at least once a month (frequently more), but that was on hold while she was pregnant and we've been too poor since the kid was born to go out to eat much.
I'm selling my drum shells today, hopefully, maybe I can set aside a wee bit of cash for a sushi saturday.

Yeah, I really love that kit, but I had to reality check myself. I bought it so I could start a band and have the equipment I want to hear/record, but I've just been loaning it out all last year. So I'm selling it to the drummer of the band I recorded last, who used it for their album. I don't have any place to store or practice an acoustic kit anymore and no band to use it in. I'm going to buy an electronic kit that I can fit in my recording room at home, can be used to trigger the drum software I use on demos and I can make more actual use of right now. I'm trying to get rid of stuff that I don't actually use/need and shift my focus to recording everything solo at home. Still keeping my big rig stuff though, because I do eventually want to play live again.
