I wish you dudes lived in Miami. I want to start a stoner sludge band. Ive got some stuff written, but now I need the people.
Wait Nick... I have an amazing plan... YOU move to PA where we will start a stoner band. Because we all know, Edinboro PA is where bands get discovered. When I play guitar, that's all I can really play is heavy groove stuff.
I also have found a really good source to find Mondo albums... the internet.

NickMan - Go to Stonerrock.com and check the All Things Heavy Store, they have two albums listed for them, but I don't recall there availability. Cool clips to check out also. If they don't have it I sure Cdnow.com carries it.

Anything by Clutch, Floor, and Desert Sessions. Clutch has matured in their sound but always put out a quality product. I would start with Pure Rock Fury and if you like that then you will like both their later stuff and their earlier stuff.
Check out Floor at Stonerrock.com, I dug their samples enough to order all of their albums. Same thing with Mondo Generator. I will review them in my Recent Purchases thread when they get here.
Desert Sessions are an odd bird. Some songs showcase Homme's/Oliveri's typical sounds, but others are different from anything else they have done. I Want to Make It With Chu features PJ Harvey on backup vocals and a good indication of some of the stuff on these records (granted I have only heard Sessions 1-4, I believe). You can check out a live video of this track in the Multimedia portion of the QOTSA website. Pretty killer if you ask me.
There are some clips of the Eagles of Death Metal on the QOTSA site as well, I didn't like them. Cheesy, faux 70's sound with no bass.
I recently bought Start The Machine by Fu Manchu and damn near every song sounded the same to me. Also, the singer has a weird voice which I really don't dig. I was kinda bored with it, I can send it to you if you want.

I usually like to buy just off of suggestions since listening to clips doesnt give you a chance to let something grow on you, and you always end up somewhat suprised. It took me a day or two to get into Mastadon, and now Leviathan is one of those CDs Im recommending to everyone I know. Maybe Ill put off some of the Josh Homme stuff for the time being though. I really dig Kyuss and QOTSA so I'll probably pick it up eventually.
You guys should check out Torche if you are Floor fans.
Its a band some of the ex Floor members put together with some Miami locals. I saw Torche at the Florida Fest in Gainesville on Halloween and was (excuse the pun) floored. They only have one sample online right now but Im going to catch them when they're in Miami on March 4th. Im picking up Floor's stuff mainly because I dig Torche.

That would be cool to jam sometime. I can play git and keys as well as bass.
BTW, you stole my idea for a signature, I was about to change mine to the lyrics from Ghost!

start the machine is hardly representative of fu-manchu, i would strongly recommend checking out some tunes from king of the road, action is go, or ...in search of first. start the machine is pretty decent, but its more of a for fans only kind of thing. they, like almost every band have a sound of their own so its natural for songs to blend together some.

Good call, true story: I own California Crossing, and I checked out Start the Machine... and I honestly thought there was some kind of error and I was listening to California Crossing. Same damn song over and over and over.
The dude's voice is wretched too. I like shouting style vocals sometimes, and I like singing... but this dude kinda talks loudly.

king of the road was the album that got me into them, the action is go is really great too. in search of is a bit earlier before eddie glass and ruben romano split to form nebula. all 3 of those albums are great works of music
