I just found a pretty cool Afterneath setting on the big sky. Also, thanks for mentioning the TC Mojomojo. I checked out a demo and it sounded cool. It was on sale for $39 on MF. So I went for it. Why not. If I don't like it I'll give it away.
Anyway, back to the afterneath setting. This is one of the pedals the Big Sky replaced, and I used it often. I feel like I got very close.
-Cloud Machine
-Decay 2.5
-Pre-Delay about 2 o'clock (this acts as the "drag" knob on the afterneath. The further clockwise you go is like going counterclockwise on the eqd. So it determines how far apart your repeats are.
-MIX 1 o'clock
-Tone 3 o'clock
-Param 1 Low end, Noon (or even a bit less if you want)
-Param 2 Difuse off (this and the pre delay are most important to get the afterneath vibe)
-Mod Noon

Another Capistan user here! Like Mr. Voodoobass, I generally use it sparingly for textured noisiness or swelling oscillations to bridge songs together live. I also use it for more ambient stuff at home with both bass and guitar, and plan to start incorporating more of that into new songs as we write more. I love how many sounds there are in the Capistan with all the tweakable parameters- I even used to use it for a light vibrato in one song by turning the Delay Time to minimum and the Mix to Delay only with a touch of the spring reverb and some Wow/Flutter dialed in. I need to get/make a Favorite switch so I can bring that back again!

In the future I'd love to own a Dig and a Blue Sky at some point!

Sounds damn good Frank! Thanks for sharing this

Yes, i've done something similar with mine. To get a sort of sea sick vibrato out of it, and i too need to get me a favourite switch asap

It's awesome for sure! I am trying to find a workaroud-looks like it's only useable for 60-90 seconds?

usable for 60-90 seconds on the Big Sky, or the El Cap? I actually haven't tried to keep infinite repeats on the El Cap going for more than a few seconds because they just kind of build into chaos. I was experimenting the other day with "feathering" the infinite repeats as a way to maintain control. It was actually really cool because I was able to adjust the speed of the repeats by double tapping the tempo between holding it down, creating variation in the way the repeats built up, allowing me to loop different layers for some cool rhythmic stuff. fun times, fun times.

I can't join the club, but I will cheer you guys on from the sidelines! I do love Strymon stuff and, at one time, had a board full of it. I believe this was from late last year, when my board was at it's most ridiculous:

I kinda wish I still had the Mobius and the Timeline, but I had no business having the Big Sky. I wanted to downsize and simplify, so stuff had to go. The only things left from this iteration are the FEA comp, the Solidgoldfx Beta drive, and the Fdeck HPF Series 3. I do still have the Turbo tuner, but it's been replaced by the newer, smaller version, and I do still have the 105Q, but it's not on my board since my Wonderlove has an expression pedal jack.

Anyways, good luck with the club, and I will be lurking from time to time.

Hi, just found this thread. I have an El Cap V1, have been digging it for years. it's moved from by bass effects chain to my Moog Sub37 effects chain, where's it's primarily used to fatten up the synth lines.
... And it would be great if I could get a number ...

Got it. Azwhofan #16. Welcome. Is version 1 of the El Cap any different? I love the d'bucket setting on the Timeline but I'm still tempted to get an el Capistan

I made a cool preset on my bigsky. I call it HexVerb because it simulates the auto glitch on my Hexe Revolver (which is super cool).
Magneto Machine
Low end in the middle. Or Less. But not more as it will muddy the glitch.
4 heads.
Decay at noon. Pre delay all the way off counterclockwise.
Diffuse also all the way off to the left.
Tone at 3 o clock
Modulation at 9o clock, but its certainly cool to add a bit more.
