Sucky PA gets Cops attention!

Wha!? Can they do anything before 11pm? I thought otherwise on a weekend (if not happening all the time) the cops would borderline ignore it unless all the noise was gunfire lol

Edit: @jgroh pretty much sums it up I guess. That does stink. Again I think many cops would be reasonable if they otherwise never get calls about you and if/when they show up they see most of the neighbours are there and it isn't hopefully at a volume better suited to a 200,000 person festival.
Well, I went to my city's website and found the code that was cited to me. Here's the link. § 28-36. Loud noises prohibited, Chapter 28. Offenses—Miscellaneous, Code Of Ordinances, Code of Ordinances, Newport News They used the 50 foot rule on me.

I always catch a lot of flack from modulusman for owning a 'sucky' Kustom PA. Well my sucky PA annoyed a neighbor enough to call the cops and they made us shut it down. So much for my annual BBQ Jam session....at least for this year! LMAO I only use it for my backyard shindigs but it's more than adequate! Trust me.

8 years in a row without incident! PA may be 'sucky' but it works and is loud. We were going for it big time. I kinda knew the cops were gonna show up! We were funkin' out big time! The system puts out quite a lot of bottom.
Ya know what that aggravates me, if you own property you should be allowed to do what ever you want to do until the city ordinance says you have to stop sorry to hear this!

I bought a pair of Seismic LWave 15's a while ago, and tried them out at a gig this evening. They worked great, with good reviews from the musicians I play with. My bass sounded better through them than anything I've played through before. So far, am happy...
