I agree with you, but I was more concerned about trying to figure out how to create the head to toe ensemble with matching sunglasses

Agreed. That would be poking me right in the 3 yards of titanium wire holding my breastbone together.

Okay, I may not have quite given up the idea...
I thought, well I could reshape the top and contour it front/back a bit more and balance even more.
And not that I need a P bass, but I still don't have one I guess I still have a month or so to decide. And I could name it Patrick

I saw it and thought it might make a cool Rickenfaker. Though I remember seeing a Telecaster bass built for the winter build-off, which I thought was also very cool. I've never owned a Telecaster bass...

Anyway if you run with FSO for the build-off theme I suggest "Fun Summer Objective"

So *if* I make a Telecaster bass with that neck, it might look something like this:

I just would need to decide what pickup(s) to use, and what kind of wood to use. I thought of using walnut, as it would make a nice match to the rosewood board on the neck, and I could finish it with some king of wipe-on oil. Still looking into a pickup(s). Starting to think that I'd maybe use just one pickup. Maybe no controls, just straight to a jack. Or maybe just a volume.

Still thinking that I might make a Ric style bass, even though I've been there and done that before. I am digging the Tele style though.

I may wait until the winter build-off though. It gets hot here in the summer...
