Hmmm interesting... never even considered going off square... The reason I really like the Hipshot bridges are for the adjustable spacing on the saddles, so I might be able to reclaim some of that string spacing too.

Even if you angle it at 5 degrees, cos(5) = 0.996, so your string spacing will be 99.6% of what it would be if mounted straight.

In other words, completely negligible.

There is wisdom in that. This is the first year in a while that I've been able to go to concerts. I've already been to a few and have plenty more in the pipeline. But since mine are partial builds I figured if life gets in the way I'll just make them assembly builds for WBO. I always do my best work under a deadline.

Think I'm done with the design and now need to fine tune measurements/placement. Can't wait to get started! I was hoping to incorporate the stingray styled control cavity cover, but it's too massive to fit.
