Fender should issue a Geddy with that wallpaper pattern as a finish.

It's funny that they get stereotyped as a "Lord of the Rings" or a "Dungeons & Dragons" band when I think they only ever sang one song about Lord of the Rings, and it was on their second album. It was very bad, and they never did it again (thank god).
You could get one from the Fender Custom Shop but it'll be costly.Does Fender make that bass for regular humans?
I would buy one immediately.
not precisely true. the necromancer was loosely based on tolkienesque themes (sauron was known as "the necromancer" during "the hobbit" era, before his true identity was known).
rivendell isn't "very bad" it's just not very good, imo, but that's cool.
Okay, granted, the Necromancer, but I honestly try to forget that song too. Very bad, not very good, whatever, either way I always skip Rivendell. Same with the Necromancer. I don't think I do that on any other Rush albums, but maybe that's just me. If I want my Lord of the Rings fix I'll listen to Blind Guardian or Glass Hammer, haha.
If Fender really wanted some more of my money they would offer up a quilt top red jazz Geddy model.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Signature or not, I love the look of blocked and bound maple necks on any color bass.
Personally I prefer Lake Placid Blue ...

... But that's just me ... +1 on making them sound like a 35 year old bass?
They'd have to change the neck - maple board and black blocks with a sunburst finish would look terrible - IMHO.
i disagree, i find mable, suburst, and black to be a very cool combo
It looks OK I suppose, but I'm checking out that room. What's with that tiny monitor in the corner? What is that on the walls? No chair mat? He's gonna tear up that rug...

Well, yeah. I'm all for Fenders without pickguards, anyway. That red quilt top one is hawt.
