Quite like the SV-Pre, but read and heard good things about this Super 300.

To update, no further issues whatsoever with power supplies, just isolated to those two older 1Spots, and I'm digging the pedal tremendously straight into my DAW, and even did some SVT810 cab simulations (both IR responses and general EQ-carving to simulate same).
The ONLY thing I wish it did slightly differently is give me half the gain knob for lower gain sounds instead of just 8oclock to 9oclock, and reserve 12-5PM for the dirtier ranges. Having an expanded range for those beautiful blooming cleans before any noticeable distortion occurs would be the icing on this cake.
My passive bass has no controls aside from On-Off and a pickup selector, so it's just very slightly hotter than a regular passive instrument might be, but it's keeping me way down at the bottom of the Gain knob's travel for 90% of my sounds, which makes the adjustment range a very narrow window. Not complaining, just my experience, and your mileages will and do vary!

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
I struggled with that as well. I just could not find the sweet spot that I was looking for. Sometimes I want a tone but only a bit of dirt. I like to dial it in as needed but sometimes I need to dial some out too without losing the tone.
I already have GAS for this. And @Sensei Tim if you are teasing us you are a cruel, cruel manyou know too much

I love this pedal, and it is going nowhere. but if I had to be picky and change one thing, it would be more clean range in the gain.

still in the design stage, but i'm sending the PCBs out to get fabricated later this week.
I'm still not 100% on this design. feels like something is missing.
FWIW, engaging the deep switch and rolling 800 back in with the mids will give you a LOT more headroom in the gain throw.
Dang! I definitely will be trying one of these! A 400+ through Channel 2 ("Vintage" channel) with both EQ shifts engaged was one of my holy-grail amp tones and what convinced me to sell my SVTs years ago- that cutting high-mid grind with lots of punchy low-mid beneath (helped by the para EQ). Is this modeled after Channel 1 (Modern) or 2 (Vintage)?
The missing thing is that it should be black, with white print (unless you're trying to avoid looking too much like the original).

The thing is a lot of my other pedals already have that monochromatic design and i want to break away from that.
I’m curious if you tried both? I know I personally found Channel 2 to excel at the heavier driven tones, though perhaps your solid-state translation of it changes things. Still very curious to hear it!

Omg this is awesome. Doesn't look like it's missing anything from my end, you even have the graphic eq. Maybe a bypass switch for the graphic EQ?
But man, just when I thought my GAS was over and I had enough preamps .... In all seriousness can I preorder? Take my money please!!!

Oh, and top mounted jacks maybe? Not sure what the consensus is, but I think that tends to be the most popular. Personally I have a slight preference for top mounted but either way is fine with me.
Did I ask I I could pre-order yet?
Super 300 has top jacks, so I'm gonna take a wild guess that the many components of the S400 won't allow that without going to a larger enclosure.
