Super 300 Owners Society

Mentioned it before, but the only issue I've had powering the Super 300 was with my Boss PSA adapter, because the power plug was too short. I have other power adapters that worked fine, but the PSA was too short for another pedal I own, so I took a sharp knife and cut the rubber outer sleeve back by a millimeter-plus: this lengthened the plug and solved the problem for both pedals.

mine works perfectly with a 1spot.

I've had maybe 5 or so 1Spots over the years that would develop weird issues that only affected certain pedals, causing them to glitch in weird ways and/or have weird noise issues. They all seemed very specific too (like one of them didn't get along with a Line 6 multi but fine with everything else, one made a couple Darkglass pedals noisy, one hummed badly when used with one of my tuner pedals, one wouldn't work at all with a Roland Drum pad I had- but none of them had the same issue with the same pedal!). I still always carry one (or even 2) as a backup just because they are convenient, but don't ever trust their long-term reliability at all!

Additional update! I have a very inexpensive 1Spot-style power supply called "Mr. Power" off Amazon that I bought because I wanted the power cables that came with it (that's how cheap it was). It's rated for 9v, 1A, that has NO issues with the S300. Maybe my 1Spots are some older version that sucks? I'll test with a newer one soon enough. I can't remember when I bought them, so that's possible!

Using s Strymon power supply with zero issues.

I have had the S300 for a few weeks now, and it f'ing kills. I have a fairly large pedalboard, using an 8 loop switcher from GigRig, where I put the S300 last in the chain before the Noble DI. It sounds really organic through the Noble, has a bit of amp-like air on it. Upstream, my other gain pedals are the Lucydreamer, Bearfoot Silver Bee and W&C Phat Phuk B. All work splendidly into the ME. I love engaging Ultra Lo and pushing 800Hz back in. The Ultra Hi is also quite effective, especially when you want *THAT SVT sound with a plectrum.

Get on that! You will not regret it if you like the SVT sound.

I've dallied with a few preamps recently, but I always come back to the Super 300.

well i mixed up "Matthew Effects" and "Master Effects", and it just so happens that someone selling their Master Effects Super 300 had a 15% price drop at the same time of the 15% Matthew Effects sale, hence my confusion.

I solved my confusion by buying it, and am pretty psyched to try it out!
