Got my super 300 back today from repair. I forgot how good this pedal sounds...
will work on the video within the next week or so. Started a new online class today for school, so need to get in a rhythm first with that, and then I’ll set aside time to finish the video

I'm in love with how I can dial in just that little bit of "crunch" that I love in things like the baseline in James Gang "Stop" and then hit the "bright" button and have full on overdrive like Jack Bruce in "Sit-in' On Top Of The World". And, the bottom is always there! So sorry you had to be without it for repair.

I just got my shipping notification. We’ll see how long it takes to get to SoCal. The delivery estimate says May 18th.
Take about 10 days off that estimate. (or maybe 8? Royal Canadian Mail Police can be confusing with their estimates)

That's good to hear. I've got my first gig since Covid hit coming up in a few weeks and I'd love to be able to use the Super 300.
Mine arrived a few days after ETA, but I'm on the east coast, and also my local post office sucks.
On the east coast as well, had my hopes up for a minute. Also got the 18th ETA, can't wait!
Hope your luck is better than mine! And it should be. Clarification: my local PO was directly responsible for the after-ETA delivery. They had it in their possession on schedule, just took their sweet time getting it to me.
Here is a very quick comparison of my old V4B with the S300. I will work on a more detailed video later, but work and grad school has just been insane this week:

Has anyone used the older one with the DI and compared it to the new version without? I'm thinking of getting rid of my DI version for a smaller version and wanted to see if anyone else has compared.

They both have a DI. The current version has a 1/4" DI out, so it's a little shorter in height (not sure about the enclosure size). I believe they should sound the same. I have the newer version, and wouldn't mind having the taller version XLR out
Super Three Hundred is proving itself. Using it on a recording today, and it makes a great platform for dirty pedals upstream. Playing a Phat Phuk B (barely imparting anything) into a JAM Lucydreamer (mix set to 11:00, lower-medium gain) into S300 set to a low gain mode, both ULTRAs engaged. It sounds like a record, and you feed it all the overdrive and distortion you want and it sounds pretty miked-up and never fizzes out.

Sounds great! I put my S300 at the end of my pedalboard, as that was the only spot I had left open. I have a number of OD pedals and a fuzz pedal before it (trying to find out which ones I like best) and I noticed that it takes those pedals really well and actually adds some cool flavor to all of them. Makes my decision to move to a very small pedalboard more difficult now.
That was great, thanks for doing that. Sometimes I liked the V4B better, and sometimes I liked the S300 better in that comparison. Can't wait for a more detailed video.
