Agreed. I've been bugging random builders to add the Monoblock to their products after my DIY build finally died from my shotty pcb work, and Tim took a whole 12hrs to give it the thumbs up and come out with the Monorail!

I have a feeling this thread is going to be bad for my wallet... :laugh:

I’m curious what the draw to the Monoblock is? Did someone famous use one at some point? I had never heard of one apparently until recently

I'd love for someone, somewhere, to do a preamp pedal based on the Fender tmb tone stack, with the addition of a parametric EQ.

I honestly have no idea what famous bass players have played the 800RB, but it was the first bass amp to wow me and I've been a hardcore GK user ever since. I needed this because in NYC, whether in practice spaces or gigs, you're often using the amp du jour, and usually a crappy one at that. So I wanted the GK sound to always have on my board. I'm glad to see Tim's gonna sell this. I think it will appeal to a lot of players.

Ah I was talking about the Traynor Monoblock. The 800RB was played by countless people in the 80s and 90s (and often the backline amp of countless venues) and has totally earned classic bass head status! The Monoblock I’ve never even seen in person

Cool! I hope Tim does well with it. I can't wait to see a @HondoFelder review. I really love his videos.

Incidentally, since this started as a custom pedal for me, mine will be called the 800EH. Since I figured GK might have a problem calling it the obvious, I thought EH, because Canada.

I have zero idea :bag: I built my pedal, and it was the first pedal I ever said I never wanted to take off my board; then it died :sorry: so for me, it's just chasing a tone-dream.

However for some reason, the 1970's amp heads go for $400+

Have you ever owned the Tech 21 Oxford pedal? I really like it for bass, but it's more of a guitar pedal. I'm interested to know how the Super 200 compares.

The tones are in the pedal, however side by side, you can tell the difference between the tube amp and solid state pedal (mostly when you have the gain cranked into overdrive territory). I certainly don't want to shell out that kind of cash for the amp (or carry it to a show), so I'm completely happy with the pedal. I should also add that the S200 in front of the AD200B sounded absolutely killer, and I wish I would've gotten a sound sample of that combination when I had the chance to try the amp.
