Superficial or not??

Sould I clean my gunky neck (is the funk in the gunk) or does a clean meck sound better?

🎸 Ok, I know this sounds kinda superficial, but I’ve got a lot of build-up on my bass neck, and I actually think it looks kinda cool. 🤘 Do you think I should keep the “well-played” vibe or go ahead and clean it up? Let me know what you think!
For me, it goes. That said, it’s your show, your bass, your art, and your stage presence.

On the other hand, you need to wash your hands after eating the fried chicken at all those polish wedding gigs you’ve been doing…LOL!! Don’t ask me how I know about this…

If it doesn’t bother you, it certainly doesn’t bother me. It’s your bass; smear peanut butter on it if you want.

I don’t sweat very much so my basses don’t get very grungy but when they do I clean them. That’s me and what I like. You should do whatever you like.
