Superstitious rituals?

Before the first set I always check :-

My mic height and angle, it has to be just right.
My cooling fan is pointing directly at me.
Setlist is clearly visible.

Before every set :-

Make sure that I have a full glass, usually water as I always drive.
Have a nice clear space to stand with no cables under my feet.

A bass player I know will not play unless he has his "gigging socks" on, one fluorescent green, the other fluorescent orange. They have to be on the correct feet of course.

I guitarist I played with for years said he wouldn't play if I hadn't taken my gig case, said it was unlucky, fortunately I always take it. It's an old cardboard suitcase covered in stickers and full of spare cables, tools, multimeter, soldering iron, fuses, jacks, mains plugs, paracetamol, nail clippers, business cards, promo stuff, maps, pens, paper, emergency money, spare bulbs (vehicle and stage lights), and probably a lot more I have forgotten about.

Draw a pentagram in the center of the stage using all of the salt from the salt shakers at the bar, light some black candles at the five points of the pentagram, sacrifice a goat in the center of the pentagram, and we're pretty much good to go.

Yeah, my band plays surf music........

You're doing it wrong.

You have to make sure it's SEA salt, not iodized.

No I don't.
I drink, get drunk, fall down....no problem. :D

Found this for ya:

I chat with the guitarists and drummer, meet the sound guy, setup my stuff and make sure that every cable end is anchored securely to prevent ANY accidental unplugging. After that stuff I stretch and drink some water, then drain my bladder. Tune up and go onstage!

I do keep a voodoo doll on me for good luck...

I do the same with one exception, I sacrifice a whole fried chicken as opposed to a goat...

check my zipper. I have this un-natural fear of going on stage and my fly is open. It consumes me before I play. I can screw up every song, but dangit, don't let me go onstage with my zipper down!

BnB

Your next show you should purposely go out with your fly down. It aint so bad. The bass'll cover the crowds view most likely.
