Surf green - Seafoam green

Good day all,

I'm ordering a custom bass and I would like a pastel-like color for my bass.
So its between shell pink and surf/seafoam green.
Now my friend told me that there is a difference between surf and seafoam green ... well I can't see it. Whats the difference? (Pics are always appreciated.)

Yeah there is quite a difference when you see the two IRL.

If youre looking at photos...well just never trust a photo when you're tying to colour match unless you have a calibrated monitor and the photographs were taken under controlled and identical lighting conditions. It's a tricky business.

Anyway, what IbanezCollector said. I prefer Surf Green myself. Seafoam is a little *too* bright for me

Surf green is hospital/industrial light pastel green. SeaFoam is bright & vibrant

This is easy:

Surf Green=less yellow...cooler color

Sea Foam Green= much more yellow...warmer color

It seems from photos that Warmoth's Surf Green is less "creamy" than others I've seen. Is that because of the primer underneath? Can one "cut" the Surf Green paint with white to make it more "creamy"?

It's subtle but akin to the difference between Daphne Blue and Sonic Blue, Daphne/Seafoam being bolder and Sonic/Surf being a bit lighter.

Ever since i saw the Mark Hoppus basses, those light blues and greens always looked the same, I hate your bass colors Mark.
